Hmmm..... I wonder why they're still sending suicide bombers? The Israelis already pulled out of the Palestinian areas - I thought that was their big beef?

Of course, their true aim - as I have stated all along - is to destroy Israel. It doesn't matter one iota what the Israelis do - they can pull out, close the settlements, recognize a Palestinian state, even accept "right of return" (never happen, though) - the Palestinians will keep attacking them until there are no Jews left in "Palestine".

One of these days the Israelis are going to hit back, and hit back big. As I have said before, the Palestinians don't know when to stop poking the tiger...

 

Agreed..groups like Hamas are bent on the destruction and death of the Jewish people. They will not tolerate the existence of Israel, whether it interferes with the rights of a Palestinian state or not at this point, in my opinion. Again...the choice of targets by these groups is disgusting.

 

Most of the attacks lately haven't been carried out by Hamas, MadMax. Most of the more recent attacks have been carried out by the Al Aqsa and Fatah Tanzim - Arafat's groups. One was even carried out by a Palestinian "policeman". It's not just Hamas and Islamic Jihad anymore - ALL of the Palestinian groups are working together now, under Arafat's PNA umbrella and guidance.

With help from Al Qaeda and Hizbollah.

Wouldn't it be great if an Israeli strapped some bombs on and went to where Arafat is and blew himself up.

Let's see how they like that. Since there is no peace, look for Israel to launch a massive attack against militants killing many innocent Palestinians as well.

The militants think their suicide bombing is working. They need to be taught it is not. Arafat just wished all Jews a happy holiday and then this suicide bombing happens. Arafat is a joke and I hope he dies soon.

 

these sorts of attacks on civilians during religious celebrations (remember not too long ago they also attacked a little girl's bat mitzvah) certainly doesn't do much to improve the Palestinian cause in the court of public opinion. So much for winning the world to your struggle as the oppressed underdog in this fight.

How stupid are these groups? All they are going to end up doing is forcing Israel's hand. There is no diplomatic or easy way to end these (or any) acts of cowardly terrorism. The only way to end it is to hold everyone accountable.

It seems like after every terrorist attack on Israel, old Arafat comes along to issue his cookie cutter response: "I condemn these actions". But what is he or anyone else really doing to truly end the attacks? Nothing.

There are what seems to be an endless number of idiots from groups such as Hamas that are ready and willing to kill themselves and others to :achieve: their goals. Israel should start holding ENTIRE groups such as Hamas responsible when they are proven to be connected with any terrorist incident. Why are they allow to exist?

Either that, or hold EVERYONE responsible. I know that seems extreme, but until Palestinians are forced to begin outing (or offing) these terrorists on their own, these bombings will continue.

These terrorist groups use a simple, but effective psychological strategy: they intentionally murder innocent civilians, knowing that it's not politically correct or "moral" to retaliate in the same way. I don't expect Isreal to begin sending in suicide bombers, but I wouldn't doubt that they will not only be forced into holding everyone accountable, and will no doubt have the stomach for it.

Al Aqsa, Jihad and Hamaas will never stop. Israel needs to get rid of them pretty quickly.

 

tthe problem is that while the USA is taking our side and understand whats the feeling of being under Terror attacks day by day (mainly after Sept. 11th) most of the world is taking the Arabs side.
u have to understand that when people see pictures of a kid with a little stone in front of a massive tank ,it looks very bad for us.
and we can't just conquer the West bank and Gazza ,imagine what it would make in the already burning Middle East ,and what would it make to the people opinion in Europe.
if wanted ,the Israeli army could conquer the Palestines territories
in less than a day.
while they have guns we have tanks and F-16's .
but I don't believe that would solve out problems or "their" problems.

What Israel needs to do is accept the Arab peace initiative and get the hell out of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. They also need to deal with the Palestinian refugee issue. If Israel doesn't accept the latest Arab peace intiative, then suicide bombing will never end and get worse. You will have to drive all Palestinians out to achieve any kind of security and there is no way in hell that is going to fly with public opinion.

If Sharon chooses to launch a massive retaliatory strike for the latest hotel suicide bombing, then you'll can just forget about peace...maybe forever. Hamas and other groups like that will not stop. The last cease-fire....I believe the Arabs are correct. There was a cease-fire Arafat declared in December which lasted around 3 weeks where there was no suicide bombings. However, Sharon decided to take out some people with targetted assasinations during this time. Now, cease-fires have little meaning because if one side is ceasing fire while the other is still conducting targetted assasinations....then how exactly is that a cease-fire. Israel shot themselves in the foot with that one.

Israel has to make concessions to ensure their own peace and security. If their not willing to do that, then the bloodshed will continue. Tell me how Israel will ever have any security if every Palestinian is so hopeless that any one of them will be a suicide bomber on a whim. And I'm not just talking about militant groups....I'm talking about regular Palestinian civilians who have zero hope for the future while Israel continues to occupy the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel is backed into a corner. If your country is not willing to settle and accept the Arab proposal for peace, then there will never be peace. It has to be obvious that they are going to accept nothing less than Israel withdrawal to pre-1967 borders and a fair solution for the Palestinian refugees. You either work on accepting that or escalate the violence. The latter will only cost more Israeli and Palestinian lives. The Arabs will continue Jihad forever if Israel is unwilling to compromise. Sharon is a hypocrit in that he talks about achieving a cease-fire yet the last cease-fire he blew by targetting assasinations during that cease-fire. Israel's continued occupation and aggression is a recipe for continued disaster and bloodshed. Israel thinks its achieving something that will stop and protect their citizens when in actuality that is nowhere close to the case. You also have to look at the numbers...five times as many Palestinians have died compared to Israelis since this latest round of violence began. Alot of those Palestinians were innocent civilians. If Israel can wreak havoc and destruction like that, then why should the Palestinians give a damn whether they target military or civilians. The answer is....they don't give a damn because Israel's aggression has been just as blind.

Israel has a choice...step up the violence or work toward accepting the lastest peace initiative coming out of the Arab summit. Choose the former.....and may God have mercy on all you people for you know not what you do.
