Most of the supermarkets in China Town have a pretty nice selection of fresh fish. Saturday mornings are usually the best time to go. way cheaper than central mkt and whole foods.

Plus you can pick up some pork blood and yu choy while you are there.

Sundays your only choice is Central Market or another grocery store.

During the week and on Saturdays, check out Southwest Seafood on Bissonnet near Renwick.

Only fresh seafood market I go too is the asian markets in New China Town near Bellaire and Beltway..

A couple to consider is Viet Hoa on Beechnut and Beltway 8 and Hong Kong SuperMarket on Bellaire west of Beltway 8....

Hands down the freshest seafood on the southwest side of town... Every other grocery just has the Previously frozen crap or Live ( which is way more expensive ) Viet Hoa and HKM get there seafood daily...

Don't know about Sundays, but J&R Seafood on Brompton has a good reputation among foodies and J&J Seafood on Wood Valley got a good mention in the Houston Press a few years back. Been meaning to go to both but haven't been. J&J also will also do you buy and we fry. Report back if you try them. ;)
