I'm trying to plan a birthday party for about 12 guests, and would like to have liquor and food available. If I had to choose only one, liquor would be it. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Ruggles -- they have a party room off to the side that they use for live music on weekends. if you're doing it during the week, the space can be used.
Not sure what kind of place you're looking for. We celebrated a friend of mine's b-day at Live a few weeks ago and had a great time. Get to watch some sports, sing some karaoke, and they have good food and drinks. I'll probably be doing the same for my b-day here in a couple months.

Hmmm... Well, it's going to be on a Saturday, so I doubt I could get Ruggles or Live. It's going to be about 4 guys and about 8-9 girls, so I guess something that appeals to the girls. Everyone is mid to late 20's. I'm guessing Chucky Cheese is out of the question! I appreciate the input so far.
Oh, I didn't mean rent out the place! They just reserved us a couple of tables up front...We had around 15 people in our party. Our group was also in the same age group that you're talking about. I'm not sure how Saturday's are at Live though....we specificaly go on Friday's because the karaoke is so entertaining.
Reserve a table at Red Door. I've been to a lot of parties there where they reserve part of that back area and it's always been a lot of fun.
I would go to Pump it Up. They have a bunch of inflatable stuff, like moonwalks, slides and other things. I'm sure it would be a blast if everbody is wasted!
i have never heard of this place before! we just hosted a b-day party for my 5 year old son and this would have been great. we rented a moonwalk for somewhere around $200..but didn't end up getting charged for it because we had to cancel it on the day of the party due to rain. this would have been a great alternative.
I think I'll end up renting a couple of tables at a downtown club or something. These girls will want to get drunk and dance, so I think it's the way to go. Thanks for all the input!!

The gay party vibe makes girls drop inhibitions, strip crazy and grind. You look cool and open-minded. . Start off at JR's to load up on Red Bull and vodka, and let them hit the male stripper - hey girl - "it's yo birfday." meanwhile, they will notice guys checking you out and you will suddenly seem attractive. You can seque to Live or other downtown spots later as necessary. That's usually about $ 15-20.00 person. Club Monaco is at 9347 Richmond Ave. You can hop between CBC Mini club and Club Monaco some nights. If you are a good dancer, there is good vietnamese and thai pop music. Often leads to very close dancing. You can always go to Elvia's or Tropicana. I am personally somewhat bored with the stiff peacocking in salsa. Still, an easy sell and dance opportunity. Thurs at Scott Gertner's Skybar is the popular night. Still, a little tame, I think. I'd prefer to go somewhere that encourages things to get more uninhibited. Some one please give me some more options. I'm going out Fri. night, I think, and want a new thrill. IF the girls are fat, then you want to go somewhere you can point them at the floor, show social proof as the desireabile "fun" guy and then make a quick exchange for new targets. Depend on what kind of atmosphere and time you wanna come i can work something out...our crowd on saturday nights dont get there until a bit later but we have 10 Cover on saturdays but $1 U Call It's all night long so it will end up cheaper... Either way let me know i can always reserve room for you if you want...but again it depends on what atmosphere your looking for...if they want it packed ot the walls that's something else...we get a good crowd but never too crazy....ill send you a link to the pics of Saturday Nights if you want so you can check it out.
