I am upgrading my digital camera and need to get a good SD memory card for it (1GB or more). My old one was using CF cards, so I am not sure about which brands or types are good. Does anyone out there have any suggestion for the best brand out there in terms of how reliable and how fast you can access data etc for use in a digital camera? I think Panasonic, San Disk and maybe Toshiba were the ones to develop the card, but are they the best ones? Not sure if it makes too much of a difference, but I figured I would ask since I know there must be someone who knows about these things in some detail. Anyway, I don't mind paying a bit more for good quality. Thanks in advance for any and all help.
I just bought a 1gb card for just $29 after rebate. You can find some good deals here: www.gottadeal.com
Yeah, just watch deals sites and get something from there. I have a 1GB Lexar that last year for like $45. I like http://www.bensbargains.net Ah, here's what you want: http://www.bensbargains.net/ktalk/1144596701,4605,.shtml
i've had a couple of digital cameras and used a few different cards and my conclusion is that they're all basically the same, just go with the cheapest and take good care of your cam
A-Data from Taiwan is pretty good and cheap. 2 GB is $60 with the current rebate. Read Speed 22.5MB/s and Write Speed 15MB/s. I've used it for picture and video, and it worked well.
I got a kingston 1gb check out www.pricewatch.com just type in 1gb sd card or 2 gb sd card in the search field.
