Back in the day I used to go to a little Asian strip mall by Milam and Tuam st, but since they closed I haven't found any place to match or surpass the taste... so do you know any place that serves' em up nice and good?(preferably inside the loop) Thanks Pork fried rice ftw
Try Chinese Cafe which is just barely outside the loop on Richmond in the shopping strip across from Best Buy. I really like the fried rice in their Chinatown location, and the food is very comparable between the two locations.
That place is still there? I used to love that place when I lived down there, might have to swing by next time I'm in town!
Bang for your buck is Mambos. Their Large is insane and they do a combo rice of pork chicken and shrimp. It is great. This sounds odd but the best friend rices Ih ave had have always been at Thai Places(Thai Spice in Village, Thai Bistro off 59). I recently discovered spicy basil fried rice at Bangkok Chef in downtown. It is pretty good.
Lol i graduated in 07 but ive passed through there a couple weeks ago and im pretty sure i saw it still there
The food quality has gotten worst over the years IMO. Their fried rice is definitely not as good as it used to be.
i dunno maybe it depends on location, i keep hearing good things about it but when i tried it i didn't care for it much.
Well that sucks, oh well may still have to give it try again, my fried rices back in the day used to cost like 11 bucks becuase I'd request extra pork, extra sprouts, etc.....
Timmy Chan's is so hood . I eat from there often since its like irght around the corner from my house. Timmy Chans is a ghetto version of a chinese restaurant. Fried chicken wings and fried rice...the best of both worlds.. They even have drive thru...plus its cheap... Their combination fried rice is good but i wouldn't call it the best. I remember Connies seafood off of Airline use to have some good fried rice. I haven't been there in so long though so i dont know if its still as good as i remember
