Flame away, BUT... If we could lure him out of retirement, this would be a great pickup. Sure, his 3PT FG% has dropped in recent years, but that's almost beside the point. When we're struggling offensively, slide T-Mac to SF and bring in Reggie at SG. With T-Mac and Yao drawing attention, he'd get the most wide-open looks of his entire career. And in a crucial situation, I'd much rather send Reggie in hoping for a miracle 3 than Novak, who has yet to prove he can hit them in normal game situations, much less important ones. Miller has the body type that doesn't get very far out of shape, especially if he's only counted on for limited minutes. One more offensive weapon would be nice when the playoffs roll around.
does this have anything to do with pippen trying to come back too? prepare for old timers coming back comments in 5...4...3...2...
I heard that Larry Bird guy is pretty sharp from the arc... he would make quite a dangerous asset for us come playoff time
Why the hell don't we just bring in Pippen then? Yeah, there was bad blood, that was 100 years ago though... and everyone knows Barkley is a loud mouth so most people I know give Pippen a pass on what he said about Charles. It'd be interesting to see what Pippen has left. At 10-15 mins a night he could really help us perhaps.
Anyone know if Wilt's corpse is still in one piece? it could probably get about 5 or 6 rebs a game for us.....
Cesar I agree 100%. I'd want our team to give him some work outs, at least see what he's still capable of... but I assume a 41 year old Scottie Pippen is like a 41 year old Deke, a worthy rotation player who can still put it down in some respect.
Let me get this out of the way to save the rest of you the trouble. Here's the proper progression: Thread: I think [name of retired player] might be able to help us. Responses, in their proper order: 1> I hear MJ's looking to make comeback #7. 2> Why don't we bring back Charles Barkley? 3> From what I understand, Clyde's been working out. 4> Hakeem might still have something left in the tank. 5> Ralph's knees have had plenty of time to heal. 6> Jerry West was Mr. Clutch, and he's in pretty good shape for his age. 7> I'm willing to bet James Naismith's body hasn't completely decomposed yet. Okay, now that we've taken care of the smartass replies, we can consider the thread on its own merits. I'd be willing to look at Quitten, too, but I question his motives. Since it seems he's doing this because of financial issues, I'd give him a huge incentive-carrot to reach for: Contribute *this* much and you'll get *this* much money. But I think Miller might be willing to take another stab at a ring.
stockton might actually be worth looking at. I'd yell at him all game and insult his mother, but inside, I'd want him to help us win.
Ahaha... touche... touche. But yeah, I agree about the Pippen thing... we should work him out and go from there. What do we have to lose?
Barkley put it best: "If you take time, you feel better but you don't get better." Pippen's done and even he wasn't you don't bring the guy back after the stunt he pulled when he was in Houston the first time.
this thread might have some traction BUT has Miller even remotely mentioned he'd want to play again? I don't remember hearing anything
