in front of his house. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/6726825.html Daaang even Sugar Land isn't safe anymore.
This instantly reminds me of the movie Crash. Where I think the attorney general gets robbed. Thats crazy.
If you read some of the comments, they're pretty funny. One said "might as well be living in Mexico." Not sure Sugar Land is on that level yet.
If you live anywhere within 100 mile radius of downtown Houston, you are in the 'hit' zone. Houston = crime galore. I read somewhere that HPD investigates an average of 1 homicide per day. That is just insane! Of course that is not counting the thousands upon thousands of home invasions/burglaries/armed robberies or car thefts which are extremely commonplace in Houston. I suspect many developing countries have less of a crime problem than Houston does.
The difference between southwest Houston and Sugar Land is...in southwest Houston, the person who robs you might be your neighbor. Sugar Land should study Bellaire and West U. Is profiling the answer?
being classified as the 4th largest city in the U.S. comes with good and BAD. deal with it folks, we aren't living in Topeka.
given the size, i don't think it's anything too outrageous. I remember Forbes had a top 15 list and houston wasnt on that.
