I was wondering if Best Buy Sugar Land had to honor a particular SKU#. It's a "buy a game and get a gift card" promo from Toys R Us, but Best Buy employees nationwide have received the SKU in their toolkit saying that corporate would match the Toys R Us offer. I went to the store to try and get Toys R Us' offer matched, but the manager refused to check the SKU# I had. Apparently, Best Buys nationwide are all honoring the SKU/offer match, but Sugar Land won't? Should I try asking customer service instead of going straight to the cashier and dealing with a stubborn manager?
It's all gonna come down to the manager. Even if you go to customer service they have to usually get it signed off by a manager. Also the store that is selling the item has to be in stock at the other store. If they are sold out they don't honor the price.
Sugar Land Best Buy is one of the worst Best Buys I've ever been to! The manager there wouldn't even let me return a camera within the return period! Take it down to the one on HWY 6 and Westheimer because they'll let you match it. I remember buying used stuff on eBay and Amazon that didn't work properly. Instead of returning it, I would just take it over to Best Buy (West Oaks one) and they'd replace the item for me for free without a receipt. I never felt guilty either because I told them that I bought it off Amazon!!
wow, good best buy location noted. Do not go to the new one on Gessner and 59. No service at all, and would it kill them to tuck in their shirt and pull up their pants?
I was going to, but I'd rather have one from best buy because I don't shop at TRU. The game was going to be a xmas present for someone, and that gift card can go towards a present for someone else. But if worse comes to worst, I'll just go to TRU. Supposedly, someone from Sugar Land went in at a later time to best buy and was able to use the SKU. I don't know if it was a different manager or what, but it's ridiculous. I had horrible customer service experiences at Sugar Land BB, too. I had a freaking REPLACEMENT PLAN on my 360...it kept crashing with the red lights thing. Unfortunately, it didn't do it on que. So, the customer service rep told me to TAKE A VIDEO! I went to the one on Gessner, and the guy knew exactly what I was talking about and switched it out for me. The Best Buy at Sugar Land (#199) needs to get their loving act together! I'm going to try one more time there. If not, I will get it done at the Galleria or West Oaks one. Then, I'll go back to Sugar Land to show them my best buy receipt with the price match. Don't make me go Akin's Army up in here!
