Good Lord, this is freaking amazing. This new EP is the result of a workshop from last Fall... this isn't even what he's been working on the last few years! I'm crazy excited now.

If you've never heard of him, Sufjan Stevens is the best musician alive. Period. Go listen to Illinois. And this.

There's a song up on the website -- All Delighted People (Original Version). It's 11:38, and you should listen to all of it.

    I'm crying hipster tears.

He's something like symphonic indie pop folk. Or something.

    Its pseudo-Christian folk sub-pop.

Loved Illionois I thought he wanted to do something like that for a bunch of states, if not all of them.

Michigan is one I really like. I haven't listened to any of his stuff from the last four years, and I'll check out this EP.

Friends make fun of me for liking him. I guess he's way emo or something like that.

I thought Michigan was a bit better than Illinois, I love them both though.

Enjoy Your Rabbit is fun if you like electronic, Seven Swans if you need a religious fix.

His xmas songs are ok, but I like Bright Eyes' more. (i know puke rite?)

I'll check this out. He's going on tour this fall.

I'm not a Christian, but I thought Seven Swans was one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. The track Vito's Ordination Song on the album brings tears to my eyes.

I didn't like his electro XMAS or BQE material, but I enjoyed his other two albums.

    I would rate:

    1)Seven Swans
    2)Michigan
    3)Illnoise

I haven't listened to too much of this new EP, but it sounded good on first listen. He is my number one played artist on my Last.fm account though. And I have over 50K scrobbles.

    It's off Michigan, isn't it?

I love seven swans. the transfiguration is cool as hell and I don't even really like the banjo. The dress looks nice on you is also one of my fave all time songs of his.

My favorite sufjan song, however, is Flint.

Plus he's just so dreamy, with that banjo.

Can't wait his "I'm an atheist now" album.

I liked Illinoise, but truthfully didn't have much desire to give it repeated listens.
