A&M headed to the Furniture Bowl!!!

    That is pretty funny.

I think this will cheer up some UT fans.

Nah, I still have this sick feeling in my stomach. It's not going to go away anytime soon. I just don't want to be reminded of what was at stake.

You remember when the Oilers were leading the Bills 35-3 only to lose like 41-38.

That's how I feel right now. Helpless.

Yup, we have Farris who just plain sucks, ya'll have Simms who sucks and breaks your heart. Since u enjoy keeping up w/ Aggie football so much, u would know how injury depleted our team was this year. Maybe next year our team will play up to t-sip standards...maybe, if we are lucky, our qb will choke away the big12 title game against a team we previously beat by 30.

    Wow...

Injuries or no injuries, A&M had no prayer of beating the teams they lost to, except MAYBE Tech.

    But Tech has A&M's number.

A&M stinks because RC has not been recruiting worth a damn.

I'm not a big RC fan, I'm all for Kubiak coming back to Aggieland. Someone has not been checking out ESPN.com's recruiting page. RC didn't do a damn the past 2 years, but we currently have a top 10 class...true, ya'll have a top 5, but the top recruiting classes don't always lead to national titles, just extremely high standards and even bigger dissapointments...something ya'll would know too much about huh? Also, correction, Tech has A&M's number in Lubbock, not overall. We'll kick the crap out of them next year at Kyle just like last year...but I digress.

Anyways, yes, I'm upset about the bowl selection, but since it's in Houston, I'll be able to attend it and have a hell of a party before and after. But hey, at least Mattress Mac is happy...

I know that A&M has a top 10 class, for now.

However, A&M had a top 5 class in 1999. No one but Ty Warren is doing anything in that class.

Look at UT, they are all about recruiting, and will beat A&M for the next decade. They have a worse coach than RC, in Mack Brown, yet win.

I'm not a UT fan, but they own you.

rocketteen, if you haven't noticed Mack has kicked RC's ass in recruiting since he's been at UT. WE;ve lost two head to head recruits against you. You guys have been on 3 str8 7 win seasons. Mack ahs beaten RC on 18 of the last 20 recruits, including Mock, Edwards, Harris, Rufus, Harris , Aaron, Ike, Garcia, etc. Bottom line, while Mack may not be able to win the big game, he's held you racist gomers off.

BTW, the ags seem to be regressing. Last year, independence bowl, this year furniture bowl, next year, no bowl. Let's hope Tech does suck, otherwise a$m will be 4th in the big 12th south.

Do I have any clout on this board? I think I do...maybe some. I am using it now. Shut up. Y'all already know my position when it comes to football-I don't give a fukk. Don't digress an already bad debate about 2 underachieving schools into this crap.

I think me and the rest of the minorities living with me would wish to see you say that to our faces, and then I would gladely introduce you to my desert eagle.

I do not lie, I do not front. And I am tired of big-headed Longhorns. I'm tired of dumbass Aggies. But there seems to be a whole bunch of y'all big-headed horns on this board, not to say there aren't normal decent ones.

It's one thing to have a rivalry, but taking to the exrtreme is stupid. Jokes are good. Spitting on visitors-bad. The disdain my fellow Aggies in general hold towards Longhorns is childish...and vice versa. It's good to have a rivalry, but many of y'all are just stupid.

The next time I go back to Austin, I'm going to get Cedric to hold up a sign that says "fukk these arrogant UT idiots" or something like that and take a picture.

So I say, good luck in the Holiday Bowl UT. And good luck next year. And we do have talent on the A&M team...they're all young. Jason Carter will be QB next year. He was the # 1 ranked pass/run QB in Texas last year. He redshirted. He's cool as long as he stops asking about the availability of my girl, considering the fact that he has a girl. I will bust his ass if he takes it up another notch. Also, hopefully RC will be gone.

Rocketteen, sorry I never emailed you back then. I'll look it up eventually...I've just been too damn busy to watch rockets games as a planned event to go out for.

Well if a fan on a Rockets BBS is capable of busting the ass of the aggies star qb, then they really are in trouble.

Kidrock, u are mistaken, Ty Warren isn't even the biggest contributor from that recruiting class. We have a CB by the name of Sammy Davis who put the clamps on one Roy Williams of Texas. Jarod Penright was one of the top linebackers in the big 12 and lead in sacks for close to half the season. Those 2 including Ty Warren are very big contributors on this Aggie team.

Gr8-1, I am not disputing Brown's dominance over RC in recruiting, to be honest, I'm amazed at how well he is doing and will definitley concede ya'll have the better recruiter. Why do u think so many current and former students are calling for his head. We don't like your pompous, cocky attitudes and we want to beat u, so RC has a lot of pressure on him to perform. A&M football has a great past and the expectations here are tremendous, if he can't do it, we'll find someone else who can.

Second, I didn't know we were racist, perhaps u know something about my school that I don't, b/c I'd love to hear your reasoning behind your allegation. I mean, we are talking about football here right and u have to go bring that into the conversation. Just to prove you wrong, we come close to sell out every home game and it can be argued we cheer louder than any other school in the nation. Oh yeah, we have minorities on our team, so if we are so racist, anytime they do something well, do we quit cheering, do we put on our white sheets and start yelling racial slurs at them; how about cross burning? Since our bonfire is suspended until next year, have we taken up cross burning to symbolize something other than our "burning desire to beat the hell outta t.u."? Anyways, hopefully Kim proved his point and more than likely if u ask any other minority about how they were treated at A&M, more than likely you will eat your words. Of course, there are always bad apples, but I promise everyone that prior racial actions were the exception, not the norm.

As far as the regression goes, see the 2nd paragraph. If RC Chokem lives up to that name, he won't be coach, simple as that. The recruiting class he has now is very good and we are still in the running for several other top prospects. But we'll see how it all turns out on signing day.

By the way KIM, it's cool...I've been studying like it's been going outta style so I haven't had much time either. Besides, lately there hasn't been much to chear about, so they might not even want to show the games in the bars.

As a Horn, I can say firing RC would be a bad move. I have a feeling most of ya'll calling for his head don't remember how sorry ya'll were before Jackie and him turned things around. Before they arrived even Fred Akers, no legend by any stretch at Texas, totally owned the Aggies. It was only a matter of time before UT got a decent front man and the momentum would switch toward Austin--there are just natural advantages in terms of TV and national exposure, recruiting networks/alums, etc., favoring UT. It is like MSU trying to compete with UM in all sports, or NCS with UNC in bb, if the coach at the other school can userp the other higher exposure school say 1 out of three or four years or have a good run at the others expense, that tells you they have a hell of a coach in place.

From my view, RC is still getting the Aggies into bowl games and does a heck of a lot with what he has (look at it this way, the Aggies haven't had a good QB since Kevin "Shiney New Camaro" Smith). I think the Aggies are fooling themselves if they think their chances are better with a new guy. But hey if you want a new guy, you lost son Bob Davie may be available.

Like I was chanting a couple of weeks ago in Kyle Field, "Keep RC, Keep RC!'

The galleryfurniture.com bowl is an embarassment to a once proud A&M program. I never thought I would see the day when the Ags would sink this low. Sure they had injuries this year, but isn't that why you need depth. RC loses the recruiting battle year in, year out to UT and OU. In the last two days, Mack has gotten Aaron Harris and Brian Pickryl to commit- two of the nation's top defensive players.

Oh, and gr8-1, gomer fans may be slow, but definitely not racist. I don't know where you came up with that one. I was treated well in College Station. OU fans on the other hand are ignorant rednecks.

rocketteen-You're right, Davis and Penright are 2 other standouts from the c/o 99.

However, on paper, that was A&M's best class of maybe ALL-TIME.

I don't know if it bodes well for A&M...

This year they have a half decent class, and if they can find Reggie McNeal a position QB, WR, whatever, then he could help a lot.

However, the instability of offensive coordinators is why the A&M offense hasn't really done much.

Last I heard the A&M OC, Babers, is being looked at by San Diego State.

Lose him, and you lose more stability.

Also, that could hurt recruiting, in terms of offensive players, and players who have been recruited by Babers.

Mack is a great recruitor. I think he is probably one of the top 3 recruitors in the country, although it pains me to say it because I am a big OU fan. but everywhere that mack has been , he has had great recruiting classes, and I just wish he would stop stealing our players! ;)

Mduke, it is OU that steals players from Texas, e.g., Tommie Harris. Mack and Stoops should make a deal, Mack will stay out of recruiting in the state of Ok if Stoops will stay out of the state of Texas;)

They should improve with #1 preseason quarterback Reggie McNeal somewhere in the lineup.

He, A&M, and a couple of his coaches say QB, the rest of the highschool/college football world say Receiver/Secondary.

Yeah I'm sure you know ALLLLL about that, dont you? We may love our team, and I may not be the typical OU fan, but I know when we suck and I admit it. We lost to OSU, and deserved it, yeah I know. But most UT fans that I've talked to, still think they are great! They won't admit that they cant beat a ranked team(ex. OU, CU). When OU plays UT's cupcake scheduled next year, and If we lose, I will be the first to admit that we dont deserve to win the national championship. I don't know if I come off being ignorant, but get along great with other UT fans (Puedlfor, Dvauthrin, etc.)
