http://www.filmhouston.com/matrixspan.wmv It's in Spanish... and it's not very good.... but I don't completely hate it. Not sure why. We didn't have a whole lot to work with (and didn't spend a whole lot of time on it). Anyway, FYI.
I can only hope I eventually get that good. For the record, I didn't write the ad. I just shot it and edited it (and drop some names so we could use the car).
From the response so far, I'm thinking that I should stick with the popular Paigetopia ads I've been doing.
I kept expecting an exuberant mrpaige to pop out of the car and start dancing or something. Didn't realize it was a serious ad 'till it was over. Anyway, my Spanish blows so I had no clue what was going on.
muy bueno. who's the actress...she's hot. i did notice the camera reflection in the door of the car... so are you gonna do the music video for the taco bell song or what!
You can't do me like that Chance. I still want to shoot it. Now, MrPaige working on it too would be cool.
Crap, I forgot to comment of the video on my previous post. It looks like you did your part of it well. The editing made it more interesting(all you) and the shots were interesting. The acting seemed sub par, but I imagine that couldn't have been all you. Don't sweat it, just keep at it.
I noticed the reflection, too, when I was shooting it. But we couldn't take the car off the lot, and I was kind of boxed in and wanted that shot, so I used it anyway. I consider it my cameo. As for the "actress", she's the sister of the woman who wrote the ad. Neither of the actors were "actors". We didn't put out a casting call, we just found the first couple of people who spoke spanish. But they did well enough for what was really their first time in front of the camera. Had I been in charge of casting, I probably would've gone a different way. The dialogue is pretty corny, though, so that may be part of the problem, too.
Damned Receipt? Great! You realize that we'll need titty dancers and a titty bar for that one to be good. I'am sure there will be a list of willing extras.
I'll be the DP mrpaige, the reason why I ask is because I al taking a Final Cut Pro class at Hunter College(CUNY). we were just going over keyframes, which allows you to move images or multiple images over the screen and through time. your piece reminded me of that lesson. I just finished my first assignment, which was a found footage assignment. I basically made a tribute/trailer to the Coen Bros. "The Hudsucker Proxy." next is to take all of this raw footage of my friends and turn it into something( I have no script, just footage). it ought to be a challenge. keep up the good work bro
