So OP hows your friend doing now? I can imagine the going out process is just as painful as the going in process.
Yeah, lots of people go to the hospital after trying to down entire bottles of habanero or ghost chili sauce. This poor guy died from it a couple of years ago : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...hot-sauce-chilli-eating-contest.html?ITO=1490
He was complaining of cramps later that night. He sat in the bathroom for a while; you could hear that he was hurting. It was funny at first, but then we offered to take him to the ER if it was really that bad. He's a pretty big boy, though. He just tried to sleep it off. I couldn't imagine someone half his size eating that entire burger. That's crazy that people have died! We had no idea. He was fine this morning. I haven't heard him complain other than going to the bathroom. Even going to pee burns. Ouch.
After witnessing someone eat it and some of the stories posted on here, I honestly wouldn't recommend it, haha.
After watching this clip, all I have to say is...Charles Barkley has a point... <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wQPp3Tg61A4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wQPp3Tg61A4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
A friend and I took the challenge. I couldnt get past one bite... Pepto Bismol and Chocolate Icecream was the only thing that cooled the burn, which lasted for about 2 days. It felt like a a ball of lava was turning in my stomach... ugh... the horrific nightmares...
Wouldn't eating a bunch of ice cream and pepto sometime after you ate the burger be too late? This might be small comfort to your friend but it seems to me the strategy would be to eat that stuff right before or while eating the flaming hot burger.
lol, trust me, when you feel like lava is burning your insides, and water isnt cooling anything down, pepto and icecream do wonders... When your lips and surrounding face area is on fire simply from the heat in your mouth, sticking your face in a tub of blue bell is the only solace. heck even my fingers felt like they were on fire.
