I think we are starting to see the negative aspect of trading for TMac. Don't get me wrong, he is an awesome player, but we really shallowed up our team to get him. We no longer have any trading bait. From the beginning, I was giddy like a school girl to get him , but now I think we are starting to understand why Orlando was willing to trade him. They knew that they would be able to get much more of a balanced roster. This is the reason they are playing so much better right now. We have too many players right now that have played their own way for years and are not willing to change. 1. Howard and Taylor are too much alike and neither are what we need in a power forward (we need a tough rebounder who can play D and another one that can block shots and score) 2. Charlie is too old and Lue is almost good enough to be a starting point (we need a point guard like Jamaal Tinsley) 3. We need more players that can be disciplined on offense and defense 4. We need players that passionately want to win 5. Lights out shooters ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Potential Missing Pieces to the Puzzle PG-Marko Jaric (LAC), Kirk Hinrich (CHI), Rafer Alston (TOR), Luke Ridnour (SEA), Earl Watson (MEM), Antonio Daniels (SEA) PF-David West (NO), Dalembet (PHI), Brendan Haywood (WA), Jamaal Magloire (NO), Primoz Brezec (CHA)
1. yes they are basically the same type of player except that Juwan plays with his back to the basic and will go down low to score while Mo is a shooter..both haven't shown they can really bang and rebound even though i thought Howard would do a better job. I really think one of these guys is going to be traded in upcoming months for a big point guard that can can get the pass into yao and isn't looking for his shot...same style as Ward and Lue but just bigger. 2. Ward was brought int o be more of a leader on the court and minimize turnovers and not look for his shot. He has done a decent job of that averaging 1.5 turnovers a game which is really good out of the PG position. Lue has been a great enegizer off the bench but might need to get a bit more experience before we throw him in there. I would really like to get a bigger guard someone like Antonio Daniels to run the point so when we do run those 2 PG sets we have Lue and Daniesl on the floor who are a bit younger and more atheletic. 3. I think most of the players have been that way. i think the only 2 i would have to say have been shooting more then they should would be JJ and Howard. Sometimes they just take shots to get themselves out of a rut and with the case of Howard doesn't relaly look to pass to much which really hurts us. 4. That is a big thing to me too. I just think that our bench players right now play with more fire than our starters and that's easy to see last night when the bench brought us back into the game with their hustle. 5. We really need that one person to step up and shoot the open jumpers. boki has been doing a nice job recently at that and it shows with his 3 point percentage but too many times people like howard, mo and jj don't look to him when he is open rather taking a difficult shot. Even if we had a lights out shooter i doubt we would get him the ball right. If we can't do it to Boki when he is wide open then we wouldn't do it with any other player...sometimes a few of our players get too slefish and don't find the open man.
