Link Strong Quake Rocks Indian Subcontinent By CHRISTOPHER TORCHIA, Associated Press Writer 31 minutes ago A powerful 7.6-magnitude earthquake rocked large swaths of Pakistan, India and Afghanistan on Saturday, killing at least six people. Pakistan's army said initial reports indicate the damage was widespread in that country. Four of the dead were in northwestern Pakistan, a relief official in the area said. Police in India-controlled Kashmir said an infant and another person died there. At least a dozen people were injured, and dozens more were feared trapped in the rubble of a 10-story apartment building in Islamabad, the Pakistani capital. Pakistan's private television news station, Geo, said it had received unconfirmed reports that at least 25 people had died in Pakistan's part of Kashmir, the disputed Himalayan territory. Two interior ministry officials in Islamabad said there were fatalities, but they had no details. The officials did not want to be named because they are not authorized to speak to the media. It sounds really bad.
it looks really bad. apparently most of pakistan administered kashmir is just wiped out. even the aftershocks are reaching 6! after this rita fiasco natural disasters hit home.
Wow. This has got to be one of the most intense natural disaster related 12 month period in recorded history. First the tsunami, 2 hurricanes, massive earthquakes, ongoing mudslides in Central America plus all the other regular disasters. Crazy.
Matthew 24:4-8 4 Jesus told them, "Don't let anyone mislead you. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Messiah.' They will lead many astray. 6 And wars will break out near and far, but don't panic. Yes, these things must come, but the end won't follow immediately. 7 The nations and kingdoms will proclaim war against each other, and there will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. 8 But all this will be only the beginning of the horrors to come. Revelation 6:12-17 12 I watched as the Lamb broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake. The sun became as dark as black cloth, and the moon became as red as blood. 13 Then the stars of the sky fell to the earth like green figs falling from trees shaken by mighty winds. 14 And the sky was rolled up like a scroll and taken away. And all of the mountains and all of the islands disappeared. 15 Then the kings of the earth, the rulers, the generals, the wealthy people, the people with great power, and every slave and every free person — all hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16 And they cried to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of the one who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb. 17 For the great day of their wrath has come, and who will be able to survive?" Looks like someone predicted theses things a while back.
http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/topstory/3387805 Thousands killed. And that picture on their site.
Nostradamus did the same thing. So did that Muslim scholar only 6 months ago. All these ppl are just skillfull manipulators.
You realize the significance of being the first to do this, right? Anyone making themselves out to be a predictor, or prophet after the original is exactly a manipulator. Btw- science only now has the ability to actually prove the Bible's accuracy. It cannot be denied. Sorry if this belongs in D&D, but the reply begged response. Whether you believe in Jesus, or the God of the Bible or not... the foretelling of current events is undeniable in His/it's recorded words. No "code" needed, Just read it.
My relatives in Islamabad are fine. Aparently, my aunt had friends that lived in a building that collapsed in Islamabad (I'm guessing the big one that you see in pictures), but they all got out in time. One of my aunt's friend's sons died, I don't know the details.
Its sad how much media coverage this gets compared to anything that would happen in a western country.. --- Imagine all the people who were fasting there today, to wake up to their deaths... Keep them in your prayers guys.
Uh. You know the apostles have been talking about end times and everyone else has been parroting their own imposed fears/paranoia/beliefs/suppositions on those words right? Yes, I myself can say that in turbulent times the world will be wracked by wars, famines, fires, earthquakes, great winds, rumblings of stomaches, etc. When in the history of this small ball of mud and minerals did we not have natural disasters? When did we not have the very human fear of events beyond our control affecting our lives? Science can certainly prove anything if it is generalized enough. If you want to believe that there is an end time predicted faithfully by writings from long ago, that's fine.. but a question.. will you act any differently if the end of the world is tomorrow, next week, in the near years to come, or milleniums from now? If any of us really truly believe teachings passed down through Christ, through Buddha, through Muhammed.. the end of the world --- whenever that happens -- shouldn't matter. I'm not attacking your stance, just pointing out that interpretating the Bible verbatim to current events in that level of details is a slippery slope and is intellectually slothful towards the complexity of those words --- unless you can pick and choose which parts of the Bible you understand and which parts are beyond your understanding due to the 'mystery of the Word of words and the Source of sources'. In any case, if we believe in prayer, those people over in the Indian subcontinent can use some. And they can use donations even more.
I wouldn’t send money to that region….its the second most corrupt country in the world…if you can help any other way it’s probably the better choice….don’t make the pockets heavier of those corrupt illiterate politicians over there…they’ll probably pocket half and send their children overseas for education with it……
I'm with you IROC it. The bible tells so much, but i've noticed most around here, most people are too intelligent to just have blind faith and believe it.
30,000 in just kashmir now http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/2005100...NmnZiEB;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl
