    And many think the Battier-Gay trade was a bad trade......

    I'm pretty sure they're not factoring Swift into that analysis...or are factoring losing him. i.e. - regardless of whether you like/dislike getting rid of Swift, it appears that was a bad trade, at this point in time.

    Swift should have adapted well to an Ivaroni system...who can tell with that guy?

    Swift had 4 or 5 years left on his deal with the Rockets. People don't think about that. It's hard to get rid of a player who doesn't give a s--- about playing hard with that much guaranteed money left, and the Rockets were able to do it.

    Getting rid of Swift was addition by subtraction.
