Strategery 2012 is an Advance Wars-Style Game Presidential Race

You know what the youth like these days? Videogames. So what's the best way to get them interested in voting? Why, by making a video game about the campaign trail, of course. Even better if you make it look and play like an already super popular series like Advance Wars, for example. That's exactly what Michael Silverman has done with Strategery 2012, a game based on this year's presidential election. And you know what? It's really good.

As spotted by Kotaku, the free strategy game takes the basic Advance Wars mechanics and tweaks them for a political campaign. You don't kill opposing units, you take snipes at them verbally until they retire. You don't occupy cities (though that could be appropriate as well), you get their votes. You don't destroy cities your opponents control, you suppress their ability to vote. It's all very funny, and surprisingly well-designed.
