For some reason, after being online for a while, my computer won't let me connect to the web. If I open a new window, either Firefox for explorer, I can't connect. The window that was already open, I can connect, but some sites won't come up, it'll give me a can't connect error, yet, if I log out or restart my computer, I can visit that site and have multiple windows open with no problems for a while until it starts again.

maybe the modem? not exactly sure though. i learned the hard way when my computer started freezing and i had to keep restarting. i thought it was a virus the whole time when it turned out to be my dsl modem. totally screwed up my pc from all that rebooting. good news was, best buy replaced it with a brand new upgrade.

i had a similar problem with AOL about 2 weeks ago. Apparently i had 3 copies of the new 9.0 software loaded up on my computer; so i removed all 3 then reinstalled the original software and its worked perfect since.

I have a similar problem. I found that if I run Ctrl-alt-delete and kill the svchost.exe process thats being run by Network Service, it works. Don't know why, but it works for me. I have to do this usually once a day or so.
