Most of the damage was in Vendee, which is where I'm from in France. That made me do a double-take when I read the article. I still have family and property there. But, my family is in the north of the department and the real damage was in the south. My family and my house are fine.
I was in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) over winter which isn't too far from where this happened. European winter storms are just brutal...
