    Another "I can't believe this is a story" story about the King. Although it seems his public image probably will take yet another hit this offseason.

    CLEVELAND -- LeBron James struggled with sudden fame after appearing on Sports Illustrated's cover as a 17-year-old and admits he smoked mar1juana during his junior year in high school.

    Those are two of the revelations in a book chronicling James' rise from Ohio hoops prodigy to NBA superstar.

    In "Shooting Stars," written by James and co-author Buzz Bissinger, James said the SI cover and the media attention he and his high school teammates received was difficult to handle.

    "We had become big-headed jerks, me in particular," James said, "and we are to blame for that, but so are adults who treated us that way and then sat back and smugly watched the self-destruction."

    James also revealed he and his teammates smoked mar1juana one night after getting access to a hotel room in Akron.

    I happen to know someone who just got traded from the Cavs recently from a family connection. This person smokes a lot of weed (like most professional athletes do, let's be honest) and said a couple years ago that he'd smoked with LeBron before. He said that to someone I'm family with so it's secondhand information so I wouldn't necessarily take it as gospel but I believe it.

    Frankly I'd be way more surprised if LeBron really did only smoke weed one time in high school in a hotel his junior year.

    I wonder if any Rockets smoke weed. I knew Artest smoked when he was here. but who is likely the next to smoke weed on the current roster? maybe dorsey. I think yao has hit. :cool:

    Everyone smokes the green. Even the big shot business people if they don't it's coke, or herion, or pills, the more lethal drugs. My boss has told me she smokes weed and she's almost 50. :cool:

    Most peeps just need to get away so they decide to fly away and not with Southwestern Airlines. ;)

    i would be more pissed off if he smoked cigarettes...a few puffs of bud versus what like 100 puffs a day of a cigarette
