There is way to much negativity on this board. The rockets are the 2nd youngest team in the league and they'r competing for a playoff spot. Unlike the Clippers.They have a shot at a 6 seed. You Remember they won their 2nd ring as a 6th seed?. Young teams have to go through growing pains everybody does this. The Mav's Lakers Kings etc. Even the old rockets did this. Big deal they lost to the Spurs and Mavs on the road. Who doesnt? The last 4 years have been tough to watch if your a true rockets fan. Knowing that they need more players tp compete now they have the players they just have to develop. Give Eddie time hes on schedule, give yao time hes been here only a few months. Give cat time to learn that the team has more options now. give franchise time to get accustomed to these new players. Give rudy time to put the pieces together. That is all it is, it is a matter of time before they start winning on a consistent basis. Picture an early lakers team or young mavs team they had trouble winning on a consistent basis. Thats what young teams do when they are trying to learn to play together. Just enjoy this cuz this a heck of alot better than last year. 28 wins all last year the rockets have a good shot at getting that in the next couple weeks. Sorry just had to write something postive. Things are finally looking up in H-town.
How can you enjoy a Team that has a leader like Francis ( Shoot First, Pass last ). A Shooting Guard described as a Black Hole. A starting Rookie Center that doesnt know the NBA Game and is excluded from the mainstream plays of the Game!
I like the way you think. I don't understand why half the people on this board even like the Rockets or sports for that matter. All they do is b**** and moan about what they don't like about it (and that seems to be everything.) You know what, a big loss sucks. Big deal. There will be another game, and hopefully we'll get a win. And if we don't, I'll live. There's no need to freak out and constantly whine about players or coaches you don't like. Get the hell over it!
We shouldn't be comparing this year's team to last year's team. We SHOULD be comparing this team to the 2000/2001 squad that won 45 games
I dont mind losing but it is how we lose... It didnt even look at pro basketball out there.. we looked like some street thugs running around on a court or even a side show act at a circus. all teh dribbling around, standing around watching.. the past 2 games almost looked like we just threw 5 guys off the street and played.. there was no chemistry or structure what so ever.....
To tell you the truth it ain't that hard to pass first and create easy scoring opportunities for your teammates with the type of talents the Rockets have.
There's people whining too much, and then there's incredibly ugly junior-high style basketball that gets a team 8 assists and over 20 turnovers. Look up the stats on how often that happens in the NBA. Not very often, not to decent teams. Good fans cheer no matter what, and they always want their teams to improve.
Why does everybody feel they need to invade this thread with their negativity? If you don't have anything good to say then STFU. There are dozens of threads you can b**** in, why not leave this one for the people that are tired of hearing people whine? Everybody's pissed off because we lost, but keep in mind the teams we just lost to have a combined home record of 37-5, not many teams have been able to beat them at home.
We should seperate the board into 2, one for ppl who likes to bash and for people who don't. Seriously, then everyone on one board can complain all they want and the people on the other board can concentrate on trade rumors (valid ones), team's potentials and what they actually "like" about the rockets. You know, kind of like how this board used to be.
ANd a center who needs to learn to hussle. I still love this team...and am behind them 100% Its just annoying to see the rocks offense go with out a touch from every player on every possession.
I don´t think we need to bash Ming,he is a rookie and we know he will be better and better and he need to have this off nights to develop into a great player!!
I am not bashing...and I am not blameing him for an off night. It is just apparent when watching games...that Yao is usually way behind the team when coming up for offense... Perhaps he knows he wont get a touch... Or maybe he needs to use the treadmill a bit more...or is he just tooo big?
yeah people..yall need to take it easy..last year record was like 20s wins and 50s something loses..now we're 24 and 16..what yall complaining about..wha..? yall just EXPECT a team who didn't even make it to the playoff to turn around and be one of the best ?..be easy on your self..don't expect a lot fo things..just take what ever the team accomplish..every win that the rockets win is a learning experiment and every lost that the rockets lost is a learning experiment... yall just wants EVERYTHING to come at once...win the draft lotto..pick a 7''6 rookie..finally a over .50 team...getting a playoff seed
i agree.. i started a thread like this a few weeks ago, and everyone blamed me for not being a real fan! I am a die hard fan, but we are going to have some growing pains!! It's hard to blame a team for that. I think some of the coaching and playing decisions could be better.. but you can't blame either.. i think this team is still learning.
I can't enjoy this crap. I think I actually stayed pretty optimistic through most of last year, then there was a seed of doubt, and now it just looks like garbage out there with no end in sight.
When you are a long time Rockets Fan, as I am, it gets very frustrating to see them playing in such an unorganised fashion. Being frustrated while watching the Game is not an enjoyable state to be in. Its made worst by the fact the Coach NEVER seems to correct the very obvious errors, which go on and on game after game. Les must either see the problems or hear about the complaints. He needs to.................
I get just as frustrated as you guys but when it comes to everyone pleading for the rockets to get rid of their star, its just crazy.
