Palm Oil is terrible, due to deforestation in ecologically sensitive areas.

I have no idea what your video says. Use your big boy words if you want to make a point.

    I'll do it for you...

Government subsidies and the American Heart Association told us for decades to use Crisco & Margarine instead of lard and butter. AHA's research was massively subsidized by P&G, which produced those items for profit under nefarious "research."

If you don't have any idea about this, you didn't watch long enough...

I didn't either, because these findings are over ten years old, and I've never touched margarine since.

I can go into it further if you need me to.

But, as always, watch. THEN comment.

Crisco? Margarine? what is this the 70's?

Using butter and animal fats is not a new concept (along with healthier oils, I mentioned Palm as a outlier because of, well, what I said), it's been around for a long, long time.

eta: I made it through 37 seconds of that video, and I'm not interested in more. Plus I wouldn't trust the OP as far as I could throw him.

The research and data shows that vegetable oils result in higher rates of heart attacks than ever in recorded history.

Again, this was a WSJ article a decade ago. Of all vegetable oils, the only one that makes sense in EVOO.

You don't have to believe him. I've followed this food research for years.

As far as the 70's? I can show you a Youtube channel where this couple goes through a week of eating and indulging in whatever decade they choose. They were shocked at how 70's foods caused less cholesterol and weight issues, etc. than other decades. I know you don't follow that stuff, but I do find it interesting.

I have no idea what you are trying to say, again, as usual. Carry on.

There’s probably some truths out there, but the science of nutrition is in its infancy. Future generations will look back at our time as the dark ages.

From my understanding is that you do not want to consume seed oils that have been brought to a certain temperature.

Personally I think it comes down to this; if you need a seed oil to cook with, you probably shouldn't be eating it in the first place.

Frying food, in general, is mostly considered to be unhealthy, regardless of using a healthier oil. There's a difference between uncooked olive oil on a salad every night and using olive oil to pan-fry everything you make.

I pretty much exclusively use EVOO. I usually keep an Avocado oil around too because of the high smoke point for rare occasions. And a small bottle of sesame oil because I like the taste
