Whatever happened to that? We'd hear it every single day in elementary school. Now, all grown up, no one ever talks about what to happen when engulfed in flames. What a crock--anyone ever have an opportunity to stop, drop, and roll? Unlikely. I'm beginning to think I should have hoarded all that candy strangers with cool vans were offering me.
Where I grew up, it was DUCK AND COVER. Those drills were annoying. Not as scary as the Bomb Sirens though.
Now it's "Don't touch, walk away, tell an adult you know." That's what my kid's school district tells them about guns and drugs, or suspicious packages. Crazy times we live in... we've gone from "Just say no" to basically telling kids they should suspect everything is a terror plot.
remember the sex movie in 5th grade. you had to get a permission slip from your parents, and at the end they'd hand out free samples of deodorant....haha
I thought now it's "scream, panic, grab as many valuables as you can (even if it's not yours) and run away"
kids are stupid/bad these days...especially the 90's kids. i just heard they opened up a child care center at the INTERMEDIATE school i went to ten years ago.

I wish I could find the South Park video making fun of the duck and cover PSA's. Like putting a blanket or newspaper over your head is going to stop a nuclear blast.
