Is there a good free website that allows one to check for specific stock prices on a weekly basis, dating back for a few months? I won't lie...I have a stock project I was supposed to be keeping up with a little bit better...and at this point I have to pretend that I have been monitoring the stocks this entire semester. Help would be a lifesaver! Even just a point in the right direction would help me out. I didn't realize there were so many fake/spammy websites when it comes to stocks and stuff. It's almost as bad as p*rn.
To be specific here is a sample link: http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=QQQQ Just change the ticker symbol at the end for whatever stock you want to see the historical prices for.
I like google finance. All you have to do is put the stock on 5 day, then click and drag. Very easy. I put a link to the stock petrochina as an example. http://finance.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:PTR
But you can't see historical stock data past 5 days. This is where Google Finance is lacking. The after hours charting is pretty neat though. Different finance sites are good for certain things. -Yahoo Finance for real time streaming quotes -Google Finance for interactive charting -CBS Marketwatch for depth of markets other than equities (like commodities, futures, emerging and European markets) -MSN Money- for quality of articles and layout -BusinessWeek Investing- for historical and current earnings information
