List your maladies over your lifetime.

I've had stitches on my kneecap (banged my knee on the edge of a wooden table and the skin just split wide open) and on my index finger of my right hand (ripped the skin open on a rusty nail while pushing a carriage-style swing).

I've never broken any bones, thankfully.

A couple years ago I had a nasty staph infection that I contracted from the sauna at the gym. Needless to say, I haven't been back in there.

I have had stitches above my eye, in my throat (surgery), and in my mouth (surgery). Tomorrow afternoon I'll have stitches on my wrist (surgery). I have broken my right index finger but that's it as far as broken bones.

Stitches twice to my chin, twice to my lip, and once to my leg. I've had a dislocated shoulder, broken collar bone, and broken big toe. That's about it for me.

Broke right arm falling off a fence, 1975

Had sewing needle surgically removed from under left kneecap when 8 (my brother and I were wrestling and I fell on mom's sewing basket), 1979

Broke right thumb slam dancing to Damage Inc in 1989

Broke left pinky finger and shattered my metacarpophalangeal joint (where the pinky connects to the hand) playing football in 1992

Had right knee scoped after drunkenly tripping over a beer cooler at the Derby in 1993.

Broke ribs several times on Ho Chi Minh trail in Memorial Park in the mid-90s.

Broke left foot jumping off tree into Guadalupe River, hit underwater floating log in 1999

Broke right foot playing softball - turning the bases, my foot stuck into side of base and I kept moving in 2003

Broke ribs rock climbing in Vermont, summer 2005.

Not sure I could list stitches and infections....my longest scar is my appendix scar (old school surgery in the 90s), the nastiest would be my knee surgery from 1979 when they lifted my kneecap.

    Thank god for insurance.

Oddly enough, I made that same statement once. Less than 24 hrs later, I was in surgery with multiple compound fractures.

Fractured Wrist, wore a cast for about 6 months. Jumped off of a tree about 20 ft high and sprained my ankle. Was elbowed last night in the face playing basketball, cannot chew from the left side of my mouth, and Have a huge bruise.

Also, was shot in the eye with a paintball gun at close range.

I've had way to many injuries to list from more than 20 years of martial arts, downhill skiing and other dangerous things.

The big ones have been a shattered femur from motorcycle riding requiring 5 surgeries. Dislocated my right shoulder twice along with seperating it.

I can't touch rocketsjudoka in bragging rights, but here's what I have:

Broke my right arm arm-wrestling. Had to have a plate put in.

    Fractured a rib playing rugby.

Broke my nose headbutting for fun at a party in college. (On the count of 3, I said wait after 2 and my buddy went).

Broke my left pinky playing volleyball. Had to have a pin in.

Broke my left pinky toe last year running barefoot inside, then inadvertently kicking a couch leg. Still hurts. Wasn't the first time, just the most recent.

Broke all of my knuckles at some point fist fighting.

My cheekbone was chipped in a fight. I can still wiggle the chip around. :)

Stiches in my knee, forehead, head for various injuries.

Had Cat Scratch Fever when I was 6.

    Had my tonsils out.

I'm sure I'm leaving some hospitilzations out.

I think some of you more rough n tough guys have me beat, but I've got a pretty good list considering I've been restricted to a fairly sedentary life for the past 18.5 years...

Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (8 years old - present) had to ride the short bus for a year, I had to use the wheelchair lift cuz couldn't climb the stairs into a normal bus.
Broken Radius and Ulna (12 years old)
Broken right pinky toe (20 years old)
Right total hip replacement (23 years old)
Stitches in mouth (24 years old)
Left total hip replacement (25 years old)

Nothing significant in the past year and a half...

The most serious injury I had was a strain groin. I tried playing on it but I couldn't move very much. It was so painful.

I've had multiple scary falls while playing basketball. I've landed on my back a lot of times. Thankfully the most serious was when I challenged two 6'3 guys (I was only 5'5 at the time) and they knocked me on my ass and I landed on my elbow. My whole elbow got swollen like a ball and purple, but meh I kept playing. Fun times. :)

The same thing happened to my Mother. I was recovering from a broken leg and she mentioned she had never broken a bone. Boom, 10 minutes later, broken leg. I have believed in jinxed ever since.

BTW, my list is too long.

But since I am bored at work, I will do it anyway:

Age 5: Broken rt forearm - horseback riding accident
Age 6: Broken lt. upper arm - brother pushed me off horse onto concrete
1 day later: Stitches in mouth - Run over in aisle of barn by horse
Age 8: Broken rt elbow - fell off horse
Age 14: Shattered left femur and ankle - traction 8 wks - horse went over backwards with me still on
Age 16: Broken ribs - fell of while jumping a horse w/o stirrups because my ankle couldn't handle the pressure.
Age 18: Ankle surgery - remove pins
Age 19: broken left collarbone - foxhunting while drinking (bad idea, but fun)
Age 20: broken left foot - hot tub accident
Age 23: broken right foot - don't ask
    Age 26: C-section
Age 27: Ankle surgery to remove bone spurs
Age 28: Ankle surgery to fuse the ankle - really fed up with it by then

Age 39: Concussion - horse back riding accident

That is what I can come up with quickly. I have a feeling I have left out some.

I had surgery to remove a cyst above my eye when I was one, but not so much of a malady, just my first and thankfully only surgery.

I've broken my right middle finger playing basketball
Broke my right hand, when I slammed my hand against my truck because the police were giving me the Ryan Moats treatment.
Broke my right wrist playing pick up football.
Caught both my hands on fire, luckily only causing 2nd degree burns.

I'd say the most hysterical injury though was when I tore my scrotum while jumping fences because I was 16 drinking at a party, covered in alcohol and the police were everywhere. The cut ended up getting infected because I refused to go to a doctor. Once the cut started turning green though I had no choice but to see the doctor. Coolest part of the whole thing was that every girl in school wanted to see my balls.

Edit: Also got stitches in the back of my head when my brother pushed be off a couch and my head hit the coffee table.

    In Mexico:
While waiting for my chance to bat: cut wrist veins (no emo) on a broken glass on the ground
Kneeling at a soccer game: cut knee

Many scratches, scars, countless bruises, etc., happened in Mexico that I don't remember.

    In the 'States:
1988 [or around that time] - Fell off a car playing, cut a gash on my neck
1991 - While playing football for varsity during my Junior year in High School broke ankle in 3 places, required steel plates and 5 screws I still have in my leg
1992 - jammed thumb resulting in protuberance in thumb bone while playing soccer
1990-present - sprained my ankle badly several times, pulled hamstring, etc.
2003 - Arthroscopic surgery on knee, meniscectomy, MCL repair, etc., from playing too much soccer plus basketball
2006 - broken thumb from falling while roller-blading
2008 - surgery to remove Chalazion from left eye (that thing was BIG that's what she said)

    :( I'm basically this guy:
