Channel 2 reported this morning that Stevie did not make the team flight to Minnesota for tonight's game, and that the Rockets are looking for fill-in point guard help. Stevie is claiming he will make it to Minnesota on another flight and will play tonight. Stay tuned!

I love the way the guy plays and all, but I think he might seriously injure himself if he doesn't slow down after a couple of bumps.

I think channel 2 must have gotten their news from the mornings Chronicle. As I mentioned in my post last night the Rockets were concerned about a possible hernia. This news probably came after the Chronicles deadline. If I remember correctly, isn't a groin problem more serious and nagging than a hernia that can be fixed with surgery?? Just look at Massenberg.

Francis should have seen a doctor by now (10:30am) but I haven't heard an update.

A "Hernia" is a tear in the abdominal wall. They require surgery. It usually takes a couple of days to get one scheduled, then you have the whole recovery period.

Groin pulls/strains can come in various degrees of seriousness/severity. They can be as serious as a hernia, but the key to groin injuries is make sure they are fully healed before playing again.
