Please help anyone who could tell what number Marbury was wearing last night? I know Steve wore #3 but it also looked like Marbury was wearing #3 also.

I couldn't really get a good look at Marbury.....someone please explain.

Iverson, Wallace, Francis and Marbury all wore #3. I guess you get to keep your number in an All Star game.

Yes, everyone wears their actual NBA number. Garnett and Duncan both sported "21".

I think they used to give the guy with the most all star seniority their first choice of numbers..i guess they dont do that anymore

They used to do that, but in one game it just doesn't matter. If I had to bet, I would guess the reason for leaving it the same was for merchandising. Selling an All Star jersey with Francis and the number 6 or something would be wierd and probably not nearly as popular as 3. Just a guess.

I was thinking the same thing, with the old retro jerseys that they played in, but I also remembered they have the same numbers last year while playing on their own jerseys. I hope next years All-Star game would be better though.

Also there is no fouling out in the All-Star game. There is a team penalty after 10 fouls..so numbers are not really necessary to keep track of fouls.

Maybe, maybe not... I remember how hot of an item MJ's #45 was.

In the late 80s, Karl Malone wore #7 in honor of Pistol Pete who had passed awy shortly before the game.

I bet ya that jersey would bring a pretty penny.

What if Yao wore #23 to honor Jordan?

Hmm...WHO ACTUALLY CHOSE #6 for their jersey? Does anyone in the NBA have #6..oh wait. Eddie Jones.

I don't worry about their jersey numbers. Just enjoy the game! Don't think too much
