Steve is set to sign however here are some of his stipulations...

Steve has informed the organization that their will be a "no trade clause" in his contract with a list of teams that if to be traded to, if it does not work out.

Steve will make close to 98 million which means someone will be leaving soon.....
Also Steve has requested that his close nucleus not be "Traded"
which we all know who they are.....

    So who wins? Steve does
Rockets stay get to keep Steve and everyone is happy.

Anyhow who missed me? My vacation was Nice! I missed all the bad mouthing!

Again no pictures,No voice recordings just posting what I can.

I dont have a problem with a no trade clause for Steve...but he ain't gettin one for his boys...especially if his boys include Cato or Mo T.

Then again...no one in their right mind would take Cato or Mo T anyway.

acutally TB, i want affirmation on who the "close nucleus" is. obviously, cat would be on there. but what of the other players?

    mooch?
    t-morris?
    walt?

these are all players that are rumored to be in "the nucleus" but have not been confirmed really.

    thanks for the info, Troy.

Why will someone be leaving because of Steve getting the max? Are you talking about a player with a sizable contract like Cato, MoTay and Glen Rice? Certainly we're going to encounter significant salary issues in a few years, but I don't see how this creates any urgency right now, especially when potential-max players like Grifffin and Yao still have to prove themselves.

    Troy,

Why would Steve sign a contract here to play for a "fool" like Rudy? And won't he want a clause stating that he must approve all future moves including draft picks?

    Let's recap:

    1) If we draft Ming, then Steve will bolt to Chi or NY.

    2) Steve won't sign this offseason and if we don't make the playoffs Steve will leave via FA.

    now, it's

    3) Steve will sign, but he has to have a no trade clause in his contract.

Hmm...yet another story. Ok, there's a small hole in your story...no trade clauses are prohibited for players with less than 8 years in the league (see Article XXIV of the CBA). So, the CBA makes it impossible for Steve to get a no-trade clause.

    Time for story #4.

    TB,

Ever consider Steve might be setting you up to make an ass of yourself on this board? I mean, if that's what he's trying to do it's really working. Think about it, friend. Maybe he doesn't like you as much as you think he does.

1st question I have is... If Steve was going to sign for the max before the draft and we already knew what the max was going to be(generally), why is it imperative to make a move now? When there have been NO significate financial moves with the roster since the last time we heard that Steve would sign for the max? Nothing has changed but now we need to move some salary eventhough roster movement was not required previously.

    WHY IS THAT?!?

2nd question...And just who are his nucleus???????

Francis: Man Cat, Ming is giving all his money to the Chinese government and his parents.
Cat: Yeah, he'll probably even mooch off of Mooch.
Francis: Yeah, I can see it now. After the game he'll be putting on his Wang Chung t-shirt and he'll look over at me puttin' on my Italian suits and silk shirts. Then he'll ask me 'Hey friend Steve, wanna trade clothes?' And I'll be like, 'We may be friends, but friends no trade clothes. You can't just trade clothes with anyone, Da Wang.'
Cat: If we're on the road, you should at least give him your pants.
Francis: Haha. What would I do without you, Cat?

TB:Trade clause...friend no trade clause...needs Cat on team....
