I am tired of the people that are saying that Steve was selfish tonight. HE HAD 39 POINTS, SHOT ALMOST 50% AND HAD 8 REBOUNDS! He was our whole team tonight. No one else stepped up. With him we would've gotten smoked. I don't care that he only had 4 assists. It is hard to get a lot of assists when no one can shoot!

Steve did everything possible that he could out there tonight. I was impressed with him and Cato, that is it. When a player scores half the points for your team, there is no reason to dog him. Its just sad that Francis had to score half of the points tonight because no one else did anything.

Steve is the leader on our team -- allegedly. His job is to involve other members of the offense. He failed miserably tonight. Without passing the ball and involving everyone, you are forced to shoot very low percentage, outside shots. Weak-side defenders can forget about guarding their man, and come over and double the ball. The rest of the team loses confidence and can not be expected to perform well in the rare chance that they do touch the ball.

Steve controls our offense. Our offense scored 82 points tonight -- versus a very mediocre team. Steve Francis failed.

Oh well, he's happy -- he padded his stats.

Sorry, but Steve can keep the 39 points.

    We lost.

Trader_Jorge said it best. He padded his stats. Oh, well. At least Francis
    can renew his Rebok contract.

Admit it. Steve did not pass the ball. So you say no one else was hitting shots? That doesn't excuse him from taking piss poor shots. And I mean piss poor. Again I say....28 shots is unacceptable.

It is because our other players didn't hit a shot. What have you been smoking?

I am questioning whether some of you have any knowledge of basketball whatsoever. There is only so much Steve can do! He passed the ball, as much as you could ask for, no body hit a f***ing thing. Steve then took over the game. What was he supposed to do, keep passing it so we can miss more shots, or take over the game when he is hot?

Steve did lead the team tonight. The team didn't step up. They missed open shots that Steve got them, they didn't play good defense, or agressively go after anything tonight.

Steve Scored when nobody else could, and did whatever the team needed. Unfortunately he can't play for the whole team.

There were a few times when Steve did take the quick shot instead of instigating movement, but that's near the bottom of the list of reasons on why we lost the game tonight.

Steve's defense is also much improved tonight. I hope he keeps it up.

really? yeah i'm sure steve is happy padding his stats.
quick question who was the point-guard for the rockets tonight?

no not steve francis, that would be moochie norris.

steve's job, with the bulk of our inside presence on the bench, was to score.

You have got to be kidding me. Who cares? Its not like the was like Kobe last night and 8-29, he made 48% of his shots, 13-28!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they were such bad shots, then why did he shoot that good of a percentage?!?

I love Francis as a player. He's still one of my favorite players. But as a PG/leader, he didn't distribute and didn't get his team involved or energized. If you continue to ignore this weakness, then don't get upset if the Rox don't make the playoffs. The whole is summarily greater than the part. And that is true especially in basketball .

Stop Hating! It's just one game......start bashing after we get full team back, which won't be for another 2 weeks when we get MoT back. If they suck then, Bash away. The Rockets lost with only 9 players, Let them have a full roster b/4 calling this season and Yao a bust.
