Steve Francis on Rome Is Burning - 28Oct03

So its 6:00 PM our time right or is it 7:00 ???

I saw a little. The only thing I remember was Rome asking him who he thought the team to beat was, and he said he would go with teh obvious choice, which is the Lakers.

 

I saw some of it as well, just a tiny bit more then what Eddie saw.

Rome brought up the Eddie situation, and asked what he knew about it. Francis merely replied saying he's not a legal attorney but that the Rockets on the court are like a family, that he's known EG for 3 years, and that everyone in the organization is offering their support.

Rome then asked about the Kobe situation, how fans are going to treat him on the road given the rape allegations. He asked Steve if he'd ever use Kobe's allegations against him on the court with some trash talking. Francis said he'd never consider such a thing.

Rome then asked of the big 5 teams, which one of them is the team to beat. Francis picked the Lakers but mentioned that the Spurs are the champions as well. He was acknowleding both teams.

Then they closed it off with Rome saying something along the lines like, "this is Steve Francis and nobodies getting the ball out of his hands."

I probably shouldn't of written that since everyone's going to go analyze that one quote to death.

 

u think he was expecting a lil sumtin sumtin in return from francis

if stevee dont trash talk its all good...

ROME's bad ass, i like watchin his show BUT i missed it i had class at night .... any1 can gemme some more recap over what Eddie & London allready said ?? Thanks for the Re-cap though guys.

 

I saw it, and I am someone who has said that Francis is possibly the worst interview in the NBA. However, I thought he did relatively well last night. He seemed composed and upbeat. He didn't mumble as much and came across in a positive way. He sounds like he is with the program. Just my impression. He didn't bite on the "nobody takes the ball out of Stevie's hands" comment. Good interview overall.

 

the dude needs to relax...seemed like someone was pointing a gun at him or something... RELAX Steve everything is going to be ok. Playoffs will come, just pass the ball to Yao and do your thing.
