First, started with the departure of Hakeem, And how much less media around Preseason camp now that Hakeem is gone. Steve said that Hakeem and himself always got along great, he learned alot from the Dream. Touched on the great back court, even with similar games. Cat and Wink. Wink said he has always be us to nice back courts on the streets and in College. Said they have to be more that Cat and wink the others have to contribute big or it is going to be a long season. Question? What has happen with the shooting precentage this year so far? Francis just said that those shots hopefully will fall soon . Last second shot is still mainly left to Cuttino, Francis said. Kevin Willis Talk, Wink said, Willis is getting double double even being old. Finishing off Hakeem vs Barkley biggest impact for rookie season? Wink said it was kind even; Always got a call from Barkley to go lift weight every morning. Really did not say anything about Hakeem's contribution. That's it
substitute 'been used' for 'be us' You mean he didn't mention the fact that after weeks of frustration, he's given the Rox a last ultimatum, that he's going to retire if Tmo isn't immediately inserted into the starting five?
Juan--"be us" should be "been used." Rome said that often players with similar games cannot play together--e.g. Hughes/Stackhouse and Iverson. He pointed out the CM and SF have never had that problem...why? Francis said that both he and Cuttino were always used to playing and feeding off of other good guards...on the streets and college. Point being, it wasn't much of an adjustment.
Missed it... did they talk about his thoughts on the playoffs or about tonight's matchup against the lakers?
Not really. The only thing that struck me as funny was that he said that he hopes the shots will start going down during the road trip. I guess he doesn't care if shots go down during Mobley absence....
You used to be able to listen to the show for free on the web, but now there is a subscription service.
Not really. The only thing that struck me as funny was that he said that he hopes the shots will start going down during the road trip. I guess he doesn't care if shots go down during Mobley absence.... Actually what he said was that he thinks that the shots will start falling around games 10 and 11. And he said that hopefully this team will start getting the offense together this road trip. The reason he said that was because the team would be at 100% for the road trip. The shots could fall tonight, but as a team you wouldn't know if all the shots are falling because there is a chance Mobley doesn't play tonight, and thus you don't know if one of your key scorers is in a groove yet.
It just seemed as though subliminally he didn't think our offense could click without Mobley being in the lineup. I hope he doesn't have that attitude although I think we all feel that way. Goes to show how important CAT is to this team...That is all I was trying to say....
