Looks like our boy Francis is getting press again... and lists himself as a free agent sitting out with a knee injury? Is there a come back planned? http://www.gazette.net/stories/12022009/silvnew185431_32529.shtml While used to shooting layups for pro-basketball franchises, former NBA player and University of Maryland star point guard Steve Francis looked right at home handing out Thanksgiving food packages to the needy last week in Silver Spring. Of course for Francis, who is sitting out this season as a free agent due to a bothersome knee injury, the Silver Spring/Takoma Park area is home. And from the smiles and laughs he shared with families and Adventist Community Services of Greater Washington coordinators Nov. 24, it was good to be back.
Wow, he looks like he's in a lot of pain in the pic...I wonder if clutch has a source that will update us on his status. "Adelman was heard saying, 'There is absolutely zero chance Francis is in pain.' Francis has yet to return any phone calls." I don't know...maybe he's just constipated...
I hope he can make the cut with a NBA team, Hey if Rafer Alston can play in this league so can Francis  "STEVIE FRANCHISE"- MOST ATHLETIC POINT GUARD EVER!!!!!! -RB
I agree with you, Nets would do better with Francis replacing Alston, it's not like Alston can shoot any better than Steve, and driving to the hoop better than Steve.
I still believe that trading Mobley was the start of his downfall...*sniff* *sniff*...loved watching those 2 play together...
Once he lost his athleticism, he lost his ability to play NBA basketball, guys that get by on that instead of smarts burn out as fast as their bodies do. Steve is done. DD
