All this talk about T-MAC and YAO what about Steve Francis noone say nothing about him in the past 3 month..........
cause hes out for the season and hes only played 20 something games this season so he doesnt even count as having an impact on this season, cause he didnt.
The thing is, even if Steve was in game shape, which he wouldn't be, he has not played within this system. Chemistry is a delicate thing. One of the reasons that our sum has been greater than its parts is because of the team knowing how to play together. You run the risk of throwing a wrench into the machine and breaking it. I don't ever question Steve's heart, however if I was Adelman AND he was in game shape I would not risk putting him out there in the playoffs.
very true, now think about how important that one game is. Maybe if he isnt here we dont get that win, we fall to 6th and have to play the spurs
yeah definitely. think about how important that one game was. clearly he saved the season and the playoffs.
That's because Steve does not belong in the same sentence as T-Mac and Yao. Francis is NOT a star, and not even a quality bench player anymore. His playing does are done, and some Rockets fans just need to accept that.
Seriously doubt his playing days are over, and expect that he will be back for the Rockets next year. All the troubles he had this year were related to his injuries, and I expect to see him in paying shape next season. Main reason - he can still get a significant contract in the league till 2011, IMO, which should finish his career. And Steve is about the money most times.
When healthy, Francis IS a star..... He has not been healthy for 2 years, but has shown star qualities when he is feeling healthy.........
Francis has fallen off the cliff with the fans on this board. Only a few years ago half of the fans here supported trading Yao than him.
Francis getting injured was a blessing in disguise. There's no doubt in my mind Adelman and Morey wanted to trade him, but it wouldnt look good trading a FA so soon. Him getting injured delays the trade to next season where we can get someone of value. He was a deer in the headlights whenever he had the ball, couldn't bring the ball up the court under pressure, and was a matador on defense. The only thing that Francis brought was his ability to attack the basket, but his decision-making made Luther Head look like Jason Kidd.
