Then the MM offer is off table. Unless He's going to take MLE-Blake salary.

Lakers gave Miller a deadline to accept their offer, which was yesterday midnight. My guess is that he didn't want to commit yet or he had better offers.

Have you seen Derek Fisher play lately?

    This sadly is an upgrade.

He was jostling for playing time with Andre Miller. Had Blake gotten Miller's minutes he would have done alright.

Trust me, he's not a bad player.

Is this the player originally from Portland?? Well, Kobe is getting older, I suppose.

Half the season with Portland then traded to the Clippshow in the Cambyman deal.

Oop. I guess I was referring too far back. That was two seasons ago. My bad. Still don't think he's that bad. I mean, with players like Kobe, Artest, and Gasol surrounding you... how can you possibly do worse than you've been doing on the godawful Clippers?

If we meet them in the playoffs, Blake is another PG for Brooks and Lowry to blow right past.

Both Blake (with Portland) and Fisher (Lakers) were abused by Brooks and Lowry. It wasn't until they brought in Farmar and Brown who had the speed to stay in front of them, when we had issues.

He's nothing special and If the Lakers gave him the MLE they overpaid. He's horrendous on defense and turnover prone.

Did you see the finals for the last 2 years. If they didn't have fish. No rings. He completely shut down Ray Allen after game 2. Blake's nice bu the ain't gonna replace Fish's defense.

he's solid...it's a back up position, not starting, so i can't see how this isnt a good move...he's more likely to have a big game on any given night than any one else they had last season.

Better than anything LA has off the bench, sans mr. Odom.

He's basically a younger, scrawnier version of Fisher. Not outstanding at anything, has trouble defending quick/athletic PGs, but he'll hit 3s and won't turn the ball over.

He won't necessarily improve the team, but he'll help prevent them from getting worse. Not a bad signing at all.

Saying Blake is a younger version of Fisher is a complete insult to Fisher.
