Steve told in an interview that we need an impact player. But what kind of impact player does he mean, an all star player like him or someone who can contribute in other aspects? What do you think guys? By the way,I've made a list of players who I think we should go after this offseason.I want to know your reactions to my picks: CENTER = Kandi,Magloire,Brad Miller PF= loaded SF= Odom,Lewis SG= not a necessity,I think Torres is ok but we check out others in the draft PG= there's a need if we trade up Norris get someone via the draft or get a reliable vet like Damon Jones
I wasn't gonna respond but I want a higher post count so I will. the way the statement I want an impact player sounds is he doesn't want a rookie but an established guy, but maybe I'm reading that wrong. and hopefully he wants someone who can play some D and shoot (which isn't exactly easy to find), I don't really need any other intangibles than that. as for your list, give me lewis from current players. give me butler or woods from the draft.
which players are you guys looking to trade from your team this year? rice im sure. williams? collier? moochie? taylor?
OK Fran DaDakota. Although it probably won't happen, I'd like to see us try and aquire Magloire from Charlotte.
kaka, right on the money DaDa we need the players we have to become impact players more than anything else btw, what's with your sig - it doesn't make sense.. heh had to ask
Same thing I was thinking. Why is it Steve and Cat have such an inflated opinion of themselves? Can't they read the standings or what?
not really sure where they said they think they are awesome (though they probably do) but any good opinion of themselves might come from the fact they drag one of the worst frontcourt's in history onto the floor with them every night in the STACKED west using a bogged down offense and still manage to do OK for themselves when they aren't injured.
Hmm...what was that...something like 1-25 without him and 14-12 with him or something like that at some point... Well, I guess he is not an impact player...
Hmm. Odom and Kandi for Francis+Cato+# 15 , Draft J Will. J Will /TLD Mobley /Torres Odom /Rice / KT Taylor/Griffin /KT Kandi/ Taylor Now you have impact players, Steve. Go make an impact. Francis/Mc Innis Q / Magette Magette/Miles Brand/ # 15 Houston) Cato/ # 6 (Atlanta) OH, screw it. That's a bunch of *&^%. When is the draft?
we will NOT get candi man, sources close to the rockets said they inquired about him,and the clippers are so cheap, theyd rather have him walk, then take salary back in a sign in trade..i bet he goes to either chicago, indiana,or wizards odom is possible(highly possible)more than lewis, not beczu hes better than lewis, but the opposite have you seen lewis play in playoffs? when lewis sucked in game one, rockets org.said "hea, maybe seattle lets him go" when lewis turned it on in game two rockets org. said"oh well, seattle will keep him, lets try odom now" 6th pick + kenny to the team with 4th pick,we then draft wagner then ship him for magette and odom then steve cant b**** anymore cuz wed have mo taylor/odom/magette/griffin/cuttino/steve
Yes! I've been pushing Magloire for some time. Why wouldn't the Hornets be willing to trade him? I imagine Nawlins will want to create their own team with a new identity. Magloire would be a great fit. Add in a star SF who can post up and this team would be on its way for years. I wouldn't mind getting Mashburn either. He'll be atop of his game for some time and would add a lot of maturity and savy to the club. I would part with the top pick(barring it's not in the top 2), Kenny T and Cato for Jamal and Jamaal. The Hornets could get Butler or Woods to replace Mash while adding a couple of young big men to go with Campbell and PJ. Works for both teams IMHO.
If we don't get Ming or Marcus (please, not clown shoes Borchardt) in the draft, then we should explore getting Brendan Haywood from Washington (not Etan Thomas because he is too short for playing center in the West). Olawokandi, Brad Miller and Magloire will cost us dearly, even if their teams would part with them.
