    I am completely dumbfounded.

Stephen Wiltshire is an art savant (genius) who also happens to be autistic. Apparently there are only around 100 of these geniuses in the world. He is famous for drawing entire cities, such as Rome, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong from memory, ie. he gets on a helicopter and observes the specific city for about 15-45 minutes while he is in the air and over the next 3-7 days, draw a panormic view of the city from memory only.

This is a bit old, but still a goodie.

My wife and I are lucky enough to witness part of his sketches during his stay in Hong Kong.

    He is truly inspirational.

I saw this guy on some Discovery Channel special along with the dude in France who has drawn a complete original metropolis from only his imagination.

    Pretty amazing stuff.

    Really?

I would have guessed Donald Rumsfeld with a tin foil hat.

I'll make sure a government imposed sin tax for Mark's weight gain is part of the ensemble.

Amazing what the human mind is capable of. Isn't there some study that the average person only utilizes a small % of their brain?

Working on NYC now. From his website:

    http://stephenwiltshire.co.uk/index.aspx

In May 2005, following a short helicopter ride over Tokyo, he drew a stunningly detailed panoramic view of the city on a 10-meter-long canvas, from memory. Since then he has drawn Rome, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dubai, Jerusalem and London on giant canvasses. The last drawing in the series will be of his spiritual home, New York. He will be completing his masterpiece at the world famous design school, the Pratt Institute in New York in late October 2009.
