I'm not sure if anyone heard his comments after game 4 on the NBA pre-game show on ESPN when him and the rest of the panel blamed Yao for being soft and weak, but the only diffrence between all of them, was that Mr. Smith said T-Mac should not defer to Yao at all and that he needs to take ove the game all by himself. His exact words to Yao was "T-Mac loves you and all, but the ball needs to be in T-Macs hand at all time!" Stephen made it sounded like the Rockets were looking to Yao too much and is the reason why they loss game 3 and 4 due to Yao's turn over. That is the most ludicrous things I'd ever heard from a sports analysis. Even the rest of the panel were looking at him all weird when he made that comments. Sure Yao's turn over was a factor but he only had 7-8 touches in those games which is nothing compared to some mof the role-players.

Did he even watch the game at all? How the hell can he say T-Mac is giving the ball to Yao too often when Yao only had 7-8 touches in games 3 and 4 while shooting over 70%? Can someone please explain to me what this guy is thinking or otherwise I will think he's a Yao hater/T-Mac lover. Hey, I love T-Mac too and I'm not a sports writer but at least I could see that one person can't take over a game by himself no matter how good you are. I decided to bring this topic out now b/c Yao played with intensity like I've never seen in him before in game 5, and most importantly this game showed that you need one other star to even get anywhere in this league. Its too bad really that not only Mr. Smith doesn't know football but he doesn't know basketball either. Where's D. Eldridge when we need him?

He did make it to the Final Four as a 3 seed of The Annoying/Despised People Tournament. He eventually lost to Telemarketers and Karl Malone / John Stockton / Utah Jazz took home the ultimate honor.
