We all knew that the Suns would obliterate the Mavs, and it looks as if this will happen sooner rather than later. The mavs can gloat all they want about coming back from 2-0 but the fact of the matter is, a on-the-top best-it-will-get Mavs team needed 7 games to take care of a on the rise, many missing parts, Rockets team. They have nothin to be proud of. Dirk was missing all series, and w/o the ref's bailing him out everytime, would not have even gotten 20 a night. The rockets should have beat this team and were the victims of horrendous officiating. Looks like the Mavs will be handily beat by the Suns and are on the downfall of their good years as the rockets are on the rise. I am so sad to see the rockets season end and i am lookin forward to the 05-06 season. Tmac is great and Yao with rest this summer will be better. Laugh now Mavs, b/c in about 4 games, you will be crying and the Rockets WILL get the last laugh.

sorry to make a pointless thread like this talkin down on the mavs, but i hate them immensely and i wish them the worst. who is with me and believes that there were so many calls the Mavs got that were not called on the other end.

i.e. tmac with 4 off. boards, gets fouled 3 times, gets no calls.
dirk drives throws his arms in the air and gets a call.. ABSOLUTE BS. officiating in this league is horrendous.

Am I the only person that hopes the Mavs go on to win the championship? I feel like the better they do, the better we come out looking for taking them to game 7.

    Actually, I am with JM
    :D

It would make me feel better knowing that we lost to the champs in a 7 game series.

I hope for the Suns to kick the Mavs ass and then for San Antonio to destroy the Suns.

That way, both teams I hate look horrible, and the trophy still comes back to Texas

I highly doubt people will remember our series if the Mavs end up winning the championship.

And how could we forget Erick"I'm The Second Best Center In The League"Dampier who scored a big fat ZERO while Amare abused him for 40. Has Amare ever score 40 on Yao? HA,Ha,Ha......

That is money well spent, Cuban. Damp has the nerve to claim he is the best in the West while Cuban buy that stupid joke for 80M. This is going to disgrace the rest of the teammate who are 10 times productive than Damp but make way less.

Well I definitely don't want the mavs to win a title. But I sure want them to at least make this Suns series competitive. It only makes us look bad if Phoenix stomps all over them.

I can't imagine the level of cockiness the Mavs fans will display if that team wins a ring. No way that should happen. We can always flash out our rings and shut the Mavs fans up despite a hard loss.

The Mavs are chumps, they're no champ. Detroit, Miami, Phoenix, San Antonio, can all crush the Mavs. There's absolutely no chance for the Mavs to get a championship this year.

No, it won't make us look bad. If we're facing the suns, Amare would not go off like that, we'll probably still get beat because they got too many guns and they can run too.

You can bet the free agents will, but then, they should be lining up regardless.

Except that's not the perception. Most fans, analysts, media just make sweeping generalizations like "JVG likes to slow it down and play grind it out ball" or "Yao would rather face up and shoot jumpers. He doesn't like to play in the post". If the Suns stomp all over Dallas then most people will just assume that since Team A kills Team B, and Team B beat Team C in a 7 game series, then Team A would have killed Team C.

I guess I should just accept it. Winning changes all the perceptions. And we just weren't good enough to win this year.

Yeah, everybody affords the 1994 Suns a special place in NBA history for losing an 0-2 lead against us and taking us to seven during the championshp run.

If the Mavs are chumps, what does it make a team that lost to the Mavs?

    I don't think their chumps.

And I don't care how far they go in the playoffs...all we know is that we need to get better then the Mavs and probably more.

    I was at Game 7.

I heard all the "Houston Sucks" (responded with "dallas swallows"), got flipped off numerous times, had verbal wars with at least 4 different mav fans.

I was letting them have it about being around 25 years with a lone division title to show for it. And that they had Brad Davis' jersey retired. I laughed and said that would be like the Rockets retiring Allen Leavell's jersey.

I hope they get hammered in 4 games. I saw so many non calls against Phoenix last night that would have been called against the Rockets. I saw Dirk looking around befuddled that he didnt get the call when he falls backward and yells or falls down. It made be laugh and pissed me off cuz we didnt get the same type of non calls.

Stoudemire is awesome. He looks like a young Olajuwon. Dunking, incredible blocks, rebounding.. im gonna love watching him destroy the Mavs in the middle, they have NO ANSWER for Amare.

    Down w/ the Mavs!
