Stein's twitter: Full story forthcoming: Golden State is waiving Mikki Moore today so the Dubs can keep Chris Hunter as their 15th man Dubs were granted injury exemption to sign 16th man and signed Hunter in November. But that spot can't be taken by someone w/guaranteed deal Hunter's make-good deal becomes guaranteed if not waived by Weds. Dubs decided to let Moore go so they don't have to waive Hunter For those of you writing in asking if POR will now sign Mikki Moore: He's apparently got a heel injury that will keep him out until spring But Mikki gets his full Warriors salary because you can't waive someone injured without paying them ------------ Wouldn't Moore get his full salary anyways? No one will pick him off waivers while he is injured, but even if no one does, the Warriors have to pay his full salary after he clears, I believe.
Thanks - that was more so I could follow him on twitter than being forum nazi. There's been a little flurry of waived players lately in anticipation of the guaranteed deadline.
Also: Stein: Far more interesting waiver story today is Milwaukee letting Roko Ukic go AT ROKO's REQUEST! Ukic had to forfeit guaranteed cash to get free
I don't understand how and why this guy was starting in front of Anthony Randolph for the longest time. Don Nelson just doesn't make sense sometimes.
mikki moore is terrible if anyone says lets sign the guy cuz the rockets need a 7 footer is out of their mind mikki moore is terrible
Isn't it andersen? Anyway, DA only plays 5-7 mins a game anyway if he gets injured Chuck Hayes could play those extra mins. Or maybe they can call up Dorsey to have his cameo appearance.
The guy obviously hasn't been in the NBA long enough to not feel he has an entitlement to that money even if he's the one wanting to break the contract.
