First of all, I am glad we won game 1 of the series so far. We just gave them a whopping of a lifetime. However it's just one game and we still have a lot of work ahead of us. I might seem like a "debbie downer" but being up 2-0 for both the Mavs and Jazz series and still losing the series had taught me a lesson. No doubt in my mind that portland is going to play better from here on out. BUT As long as we stay hungry, we will blow out the blazers again. SO PARTY TONIGHT and get ready for game 2
Strongly agree - stay hungry, don't become complacent, always keep in mind what happened against the Mavs and Jazz and don't become overconfident. If the team has that mentality then a first round win against the Blazers is all but secured.
you mean stay humble...like Hakeem... or be machine-like emotionally and focus on the task at hand like Derrick Rose or Jeff Bagwell...
Yeap.. please don't be fooled even if we are leading 3-0 .. we have 2-0 twice and one of them even 2-0 from on the road games (against the Mavs) but we lost it in the end
This is basically what I said in the Game 2 = must win thread.. we need to forget about Game 1, and stay hungry. We need to treat game 2 as if we were down 0-1 in the series and needed this win to tie the series. It would be huge for us to get game 2 in Portland and put the pressure on the Blazers to win here in Houston.
RON ARTEST AND ARRON BROOKS WANT TO WIN SO MUCH MORE THAN TMAC!!!!! NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! RON RON I HOPE YOU STAY, WE LOVE YOU!!!
they're all pros and especially Yao battier artest barry deke and scola, so I expect them to know that its a 4 win series not 1.
The difference between losing to Dallas in that series is because we don't have a bunch of hungry players like Artest and Scola. We have lazy Tmac...'NOUGH SAID!!
As fun as it is to take a shot at T-mac, the difference is we don't have Ryan Bowen, David Wesley, Mike James and Scotty Padgett playing huge minutes. Morey is a magician when you look back at the 2005 and 2006 roster. Rockets just need to stay composed on the offensive end, continue to play physical defense on the Blazers esp. on Roy and Aldridge and come back to Houston up 2-0
