Chief Montalvo: 6:29am Officers arrived from HPD, West U, Bellaire, Southside Place - at some point they were able to locate the shooter. Individual was firing at the officers. Officers engaged him & was pronounced dead soon after. Vehicle has numerous weapons. 6 transported to hospital. 3 treated & release for a total of 9. 1 critical condition. 1 in serious condition. He's a lawyer & had issues with his law firm. News now reporting the suspect as Nathan DeSai. The firm closed it's doors within the last year. Father(via ABC 13): There was a shooting near where his son lived. He's called his son repeatedly & only gets voice mails. He confirmed his son has been upset over the failure of this law firm. They have not been able to get many clients & couldn't continue to pay for the rent of this law office. The father also says his son owns multiple guns & a license to carry. He also drives a black Porsche.
