http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/nba0607.htm http://teamrankings.com/nba/ http://members.aol.com/powerrater/nba.htm Here are some links to some constantly updated statistics rankings for teams in the NBA. I think it would be interesting to follow as the season progresses as it provides a non-bias ranking of the teams in the NBA. Power rankings piss me off too, so I think these are legitimate rankings that can be used as objective analysis of our past progress, and our future match-ups. We play the Lakers next, they are ranked around 7th. That's a tough game. Interesting that the Timberwolves are in the top 10 in 2 of the rankings, and we lost to them last week. Discuss? can I say that?
I like the USA today one because i know those 2 systems in statistical ranking. They make sense to me. The other two seem a little "magical" to me, but I'll take their word for it. One of us should send these links to Steve "no-clue" Kerr and tell him we are legit so far through a quarter of a season. Then again, it really doesn't matter what people think of us. As long as we keep playing at this level, by the end of the season, they'll HAVE to consider us contenders. Thanks for posting these.
oh ahhaha my simulations stopped due to laziness/being wrong/us always winning so yeah let's just say I simulated the rest, they were all wins, and it'll be right 57 times out of 82 but yeah I like checking those rankings cause they are a good reflection of our performance. our point differencial is second in the league right now, SA is first. SA is averaging 100 ppg! WTFace
scary thing about san antonio is they are in the top 8 offensively and defensively. can't wait for them to hit a slump. they are easily the toughest competition now that utah is showing their weaknesses(sp?).
I believe that Utah will slow down and Dallas will come in at 3rd or 2nd. Then Texas will have all 3 top teams.
It's interesting to see that even though Utah has the best record in the league they are only in 5th place for point differential. The Rockets are 2nd in the league with a fraction of a point ahead of Dallas. It's the Texas triangle. Then Phoenix is in 4th place. I hope this is a good indicator we get the 2nd seed.
