Why didn't the states come up with this idea before? They should totally get together in some sort of federation.
They probably assumed that the entity that should have led in doing this, the administration, would lead. They were crazy! What were they thinking? At least they have finally come to their senses. Good news!

I believe that some States tried, and they had their stuff confiscated and then sold back to the States at the highest bidder. Now if a few States would get together, and call up their respective National Guard (only Governors can do this, I do believe) to handle distribution...that could be interesting.
It's a good idea, if we had such a federation, it could have coordinated the response in a united way. A kind of united states.

interesting is a nice way to put it if States actually does form a pact (I said they should a few days), and this get the attention (it will) of the sensitive ego guy, it will get interesting.... and eventually - armed fed official vs armed national state guard

What a mess. Its almost as if the country is being run by an idiot. The Trumpsters voted for this mess and it amazes me some 40% of the population still believe in how he and his cronies are handling this.
I thought this guy was all about the looks ... 200 million masks per month with ventilators surplus? I cautiously feel safer.
....and we've had no hospital run out of beds, no hospital run out of ventilators, and the death counts are literally MILLIONS less than predicted. Huge public/private partnerships with massive companies like Walmart, CVS, Roche, Abbot working beautifully, hospitals built in record time, BILLIONS of relief dollars distributed to people and business in record time, military resources marshaled rapidly... and with daily press conferences throughout providing unprecedented transparency. If you drop the Trump hate, you'd see that the Administration has done a great job.
