States to curtail picketing at soldiers funerals

    Why would anyone picket a funeral??? they're ALREADY DEAD.

    They aren't picketing the soldiers or the person that died. They are picketing the thing that killed them.

    However, I think it is tasteless to protest at a funeral unless the family wants it done. It is a time for the family to remember the life of a lost loved one, and the focus should be on that, and the politics of it should be saved for a more appropriate time and place.

    Personally, I was bemused that it was ultra-right-wingers protesting and not anti-war-liberal-hippies.

    But then again, my sense of humor is warped, cynical, and jaded.

    about as tasteless as allowing the KLAN to march is predominately Black
    Neighborhoods
    consider that many may have family and friends that were their victims
    back in the day

    But . . No one said Freedom of Speech was Tasteful

    Cannot legislate tastes, sense of appropriateness, or ethics
    unfortunately

    Actually I agree. They should definitely be allowed to picket. I should have made that clear.
