T-mac will just have to Suck it up and play SF
    Bring JJ off the bench

    maybe . . .i dunno . .. . prop up a cardboard cut out of
Shaq to be Powerfoward. . . it would be more effective
    than what we got

    PG - AB
    SG - Sura
    SF - T-mac
    PF - hhhmmm PADGETT!!!
    C - Yao

    Second Team
    pg - hhhhmmmmmm Lue. . i guess
    SG - JJ / Bowen/ Boki
    SF - Boki/ JJ/ Bowen
PF - NO ONE er Mo howard
    C - Deke

Andre Barett is a player. My only concern is his height which could be a potential defensive liability. However, since the Rockets biggest weakness is offense, he needs to play significant minutes.

Barett is exactly the kind of PG we need - young, aggressive, can hit the open shot, and cheap.

It's an absolute shame our PF's are so pathetic.

    Agreed.

Everyone knows I am a JJ fan. But I dont have a problem with him coming off the bench in favor of putting a PASS FIRST PG on the floor. We still need JJ's shooting but when he is not on the floor we can make up those shots offnesively by Barrett driving and dishing for easy high percentage shots from Yao and point blank range.

Barrett is probably a defensive liability, but in stretches he is a nice change of pace guard to our lineup. Barett has to be in there playing decent minutes. Clearly he is finding a report' with Tmac and Yao.

AB and Sura are doing a great job. They don't play outside of their game and take shots that we don't need. When we have either one in there they are looking to create shots for other people and know their roles.

With Sura we have a nice sized guard that can also rebound and isn't afraid to go in there and get the rebound.

Barret is a nice change of pace and speeds up the game as lue does but looks to have a better handle on the ball then Lue.

It's also great to see them both in there to run the offense when T-Mac is pushed to play the 3.

They are a much better combo then Lue and Ward except scoring wise. Lue and Ward do score a bit better then them two but when you want your scoring to go through T-Mac and Yao they make a better combo than Lue and Ward.

The only downside is if our big guns are missing we need to make sure we have one more scoring option out there because neither is a real threat at this point. Once Sura gets his legs and confidence he will be fine scoring if we need him to.

    AB and Sura
reminds me of when the Kings put
Bibby and Jackson in at the same time
    both can run the point
and it makes them more diverse
    and unpredictable

To give us the best chance of winning, I think our rotations should be like this:

    Sura
    TMac
    Boki
    Yao
    Spoon

    starting lineup.

This lineup gives you the rebounder and physical presence at the 4 along with a legit shooter at the 3. This lineup can rebound and run a little bit and I don't think the drop off defensively would be much. THey would be a net positive over what we are doing now because they would be so much better offensively that their offense would more than makeup for the baskets that they gave up because of a bad defensive play by Boki.

    AB
    JJ
    Padgett
    Deke
    MoT/Howard

    second unit.

This unit could run with Barrett. And if Barrett gets beat, you've got Deke in the paint defending. You've also got acceptable 3 point shooting with JJ and Padgett. And you get an offensive post presence on MoT or Howard whichever is hot. That makes Bowen the 12th man, the designated fouler, the end of the bench guy, which is where he belongs. Bowen should sit unless we need a hustle play, a hard foul, or a designated stop on Kobe.

Lue and Ward should be left on IL or used in a trade for a better 4. But our starting 3 is in the IL and our twelth man is starting. And our starting 4 is sitting on the pine and our backup PF's are getting major minutes. Ahhhhh, the joys of Grumpyball.

I guess JVG took a page out of Adlemans book since that first game of the season he runs that 2 small guard lineup a lot with T-Mac in there. It has worked for him so far this year.

AB and Sura are a bit better than Ward and Lue and it really does work when we need to speed up the game a bit.
