Start calling for teams at 4 pm central time in this thread...

    This gives everyone a 4 hour gap to see both of the FBB (Fastbreak Basketball) threads and think of what team they want to take.

    If you call for a team before 4 pm, I'm not going to consider it official unless you post again after 4.

    I will start counting teams once the time on the post reads 4:00.

    The LA Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Blazers, and Sixers are the only untouchable teams for now, every other team is up for grabs.

    Once I find a server, I'll upload everything you need to know, with current free agents and also rosters for every team.

    After teams are selected, I'll set a date for Free Agency in which you can either e-mail me bids, or show up in chat for bids. It will work just like haven's free agency with a couple exceptions...

    1) Most teams can only offer 3 things, the minimum (which varies on how many years a player has been in the league), a Low Level Exception (1.2M for 1 year) or a Mid Level Exception (4.5M for 1 year) to these free agents. If your team is under the salary cap, then you have 0 exceptions, but you can also spend your capspace, which might actually be higher than the exceptions.

    2) We don't have to limit ourselves to top 3 bids only, EVERY TEAM CAN ENTER A BID ON ONE PLAYER IF THEY WANT TO!

    Two things:

    How about reserving the Sixers for Heath? Or giving him some kind of priority? Heath has done so much in the sim and for it since it first began, so I'd hate to see him get stuck with a bad team.

    Also, is there any way you can make it at 6 or 7 tonight, instead of 4? Remember Smeggy's asleep at 4, and there may not be much left for him...

    Okay, how about I do this...

    I'll reserve the teams for past champions...

    So that means Heath and Smeg automatically have the Sixers and Blazers unless they state otherwise...

    I'm also going to allow them first choice on another team, so if they dont read this until 10 pm at night and they decide they want a team that someone else already has, well that's too bad for the GM of the team they want, but that GM also has a chance to have the Sixers or Blazers, which wouldn't suck either...

    Basically anyone that's made a huge contribution to this league (Cat, Heath, Smeggy) get first priority on team selections.

    I'm sticking with 4 pm though...

    Actually, I've had the Rockets for so long that I've decided it's time to start fresh. The Rockets are now available for anyone who wants them at the 4 pm time... I'm taking the Bucks.

    You are right Fade, also if anyone can't make it, they can have someone else post their pick for them, BUT you must make a seperate post for each person.

    So Sammy can't post 5 teams for 5 people in 1 post, he has to post each pick 1 at a time, this will make it all fair...

    That site looks really cool. :cool:

    Just two questions about this whole team bidding thing, though:

    When the frenzy starts, are we limited to just one team per post? ie: I claim the Hornets. Then, if you notice someone else got them first, you rush quickly to claim another team.

    Or, can we post a small list like this:

    Here are the teams I am interested in claiming, in order of preference --> 1. Sonics, 2. Nets, 3. Mavericks

    Your first choice is the Sonics, but if someone claims them before you, then you get the Nets instead, etc..

    I'm fine with either way.

    You must quickly either re-post a new team, or edit in a different team before someone else claims them.

    No lists, that will just complicate everything...

    I think the worst teams in Cat's league should get to pick first. We've been patient with our teams. Give us some payback.
