Bruh, I watched both Dune's and thought they were great. While I knew it was highly political, always was and that it did not actually represent my personal beliefs I could respect the film. It was handled well, it had incredible cinematography with good pacing and great acting. It was interesting and while I knew what their political stance was it was still open to interpretation. Star Wars isn't political because they actually stand for something, its political because their woke agenda is to shove as much woke trash ideology into their current content. Its not serious, its a joke. Its basically a parody of themselves, original Star Wars was also very political. But those films were lightning in a bottle and while it was never expected for films or shows to ever capture that magic again it is still incredibly stupid to trade off original lore and content for identity politics that literally no one is asking for.
This is D&D territory. I would argue the people who are against wokeness are also the same ones who are tired of the imperialistic West meddling in the middle east and want to put an end to all of these constant conflicts over energy.
But this show clearly explains a bunch of lesbians made kids by using the force and singing some dumb chant by counting to 2 there’s no dudes on that planet , no will smith or Martin Lawrence @Jontro
the force be packing a huge pp. i only wish i was a force in the star wars universe. i'd be secksing so many bebes
The best thing Star Wars ever did was Empire Striikes Back, that was pretty dark. The best thing Star Trek ever did was Wrath of Khan, that was pretty damn dark too. Us kids were raised on some dark shows back then, just look at the cartoons Back when it came out, the only ONLY reason people did not like Return of the Jedi was because they changed Wookies into Ewoks and made it super kid/toy friendly. How cool would/could that movie have been? Rogue One and Andor are the best things SW has done since Empire. Maybe this new show sucks? Ok, it sucks, it hasn't ruined your childhood. I wish the internet dorks would just calm down about this stuff.
Who is the target audience? The children of the 1970’s are now in their 50’s some early 60’s. What appealed to them as children without any life experience can no longer keep their interest. random thought. Think how a the original Star Wars would appear to World War 2 vets and Rosie riveters in the 1970’s during a recession. I don’t think they would have much to do with the Skywalker saga.
Same thing happened with the American Society of Magical Negroes movie - the people they thought was their target audience didn't even give it a concern to watch / hot garbage with a whimsical DEI- identity politics package is still hot garbage., it also comes down to I don't think Disney knows what to do with Star Wars- They had two good highlights- the Mandalorian on Disney+ and Rogue one - Everything else has been meh at best or complete garbage and usually not the latter
