Well, tonight is game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Colorado Avalanche and the New Jersey Devils. The winner of the game wins the Stanley Cup. I am rooting for Colorado. I am a Avalanche fan. Hell will freeze over. Hell will be buried by an Avalanche. Too bad I don't live in Denver. If I lived in Denver, should the Avalanche win, which they will, I will be celebrating long and hard in downtown Denver like everyone else. That's right, downtown Denver will be rocking and rolling all night. Yes indeed. ------------------ North Star, Minnesota Stadium Advocate
WOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! AVS IN 7 BABY!!!!!! ------------------ Nuggets4 Today the Nuggets announced that Dan Issel would be back as head coach next season. In related news, the NBA announced that the Nuggets have been mathematically eliminated from the 2002 NBA playoffs already.
Avs will win. I hope so. ------------------ "norm, would you like to buy an indian scalp ? This deal isn't gonna make or break me Norm, so don't jerk me around." Harry Carey "Norm, if I had a mohawk scalp, I wouldn't be sitting here talking to you."

I'm so excited about this game. I rooted for the Stars until they got knocked out and no I am rooting for the Avs b/c Borque is the man. ------------------ ~John~ Help keep the obsessed thread alive post the reasons why you are an obsessed Rockets fan by clicking here
Give me an 'o Hell Yeah. You don't have to be a hockey fan to watch this jewel of a game - any sports fan who loves the excitement and suspense of a game of this magnitude would be only hurting themselves by not watching this. There's drama and storylines. Martin Brodeur, a future hall-of-famer in his own right, facing off against boyhood idol, Patrick Roy (aka 'the wall')The two best teams in the league all season playing for one game. The Devils playing against their former city, where the Colorado Rockies use to play before moving to the Meadowlands. And of course, Raymond Bourque, a man who has played more games without a championship than not only every NHL player in history, but more than any player in North American pro sports history. He's got teammates who weren't even born when he broke into the league in 1978, and he's still among the best. The Pepsi Centre is going to be literally rocking tonight. Game 7, Stanley Cup Finals. Just can't get any better than this. Azim da Dream ------------------ Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either. Devils all the way baby!!! Let's keep Bourque Cup-less for another season!!! ------------------ Jazzkiller
Well if you're in Houston, you're going to have to wait for the game 7...because of the flooding they're delaying the game for 11 pm. ------------------ Is this what you wanted?!? Is this what you had in mind?!? Is this what you wanted?!? Cuz this this is what you're getting!!! I hope, I hope, I hope, you choke!!! Avs up 1-0. A very purty goal. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence
2-0. Same player has both goals. Very fundamentally sound goal. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence
3-0!! What a Goal! The Avs look to be solidly in control. ------------------ "I always thought it was something that went around my house" - World B. Free on Defence

The game is soooo awesome. If I were you I would have gone down to the ABC affiliate in a boat and forced them to let you watch the live feed in their studios. I recomend watching it. ------------------ ~John~ Help keep the obsessed thread alive post the reasons why you are an obsessed Rockets fan by clicking here
This is bull. Not like I could have seen it anyway. Today is my birthday and I went out but if I had stayed home I'd be pissed that they didn't show it live. At least NBC had the smarts to show game 2 of the NBA finals. How the hell can you justify not showing Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals? This is one of the best games you can possibly see if you're a sports fan. Ugh!!! Do we really need 4 stations with 24 hour coverage of the flooding? ------------------ "Play that funky music white boy." Six West
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tears everywhere!!! GOD I LOVE THIS GAME! RE-SIGN SAKIC, BLAKE AND ROY!! SELL THE NUGGETS!!!! ------------------ Nuggets4 Today the Nuggets announced that Dan Issel would be back as head coach next season. Even though I was hoping for an overtime, or at least a tight finish, I can't complain with tonight's game. Ever since Raymond joined this team last March, I've cheered the Avs on when my team (Flames) wasn't in it. As soon as they lost to the Stars in Game 7 of the WCF last season, I couldn't help but look forward to this season with the hopes that Colorado would make another run for it. Now that its come true, it almost feels as though my team has won, even though the Avs are hardly my team. When you have such class acts such as Sakic, Forsberg and Bourque, not to mention a first class organization which combines youth with experience and an unbelievable drafting record, its hard not to cheer this team on. Great finish to a great story. Now if the Sixers can upset the Lakers... Azim da Dream ------------------ Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow.
