Yes, I have googled this, but I'm not getting a lot of good info... so when in doubt, CF.net it. 1) Does anyone have one of these? 2) Does anyone know where to get one, locally? 3) Any recommendations for quality, price, etc? A few caveats.. I have an iMac, I also can't stand something flimsy that would wobble or sway back and forth, and having room for a printer and speakers etc would be preferable.. I'm just tired of sitting at the computer. It is killing my posture... plus standing would limit the reasonable amount of time I could spend staring at the screen, which is also a good thing. Help meh, CF!
It is more about sitting upright than anything. I am 6'2". The world is mostly designed about people that are 5'8". I have to lean down to get crap off of countertops, etc. I am tired of looking down!
If my knees hadn't lost all their cartilage/meniscus/ligament support, I'd use one. It would help my back and posture. Ha-haaaa! You have no imagination sir! It's easy! Just-- Uhh... ummm... never mind. Listen to Groodreaux.
It's called a woman. The one in that picture seems rather comfortable in high heels, which is a good thing. To answer your questions... 1) Yes, I have one.. or... she has me 2) There are many places to get one in Houston, but there aren't many on this bbs. You're better off if you get away from your computer and search for one. 3) A good quality woman is hard to find. Almost all women are expensive. Some are ridiculously expensive.
don't have one, don't know where to get one locally, can't recommend... but... I do have a few links. www.anthro.com (check out the eNook maybe, if they still offer it... also, I do have a couple of old "anthro" carts that I use for a server and for my music equipment, but mine are "seated" stations. www.biomorph.com (not sure if they offer stand up, but they do have a large variety of custom desks that seem as though they might have something you'd like. www.uptime4u.com (This seems to be the most versatile choice, as they have models that adjust to sitting or standing work stations. www.raindesigninc.com/igo.html (I'm guessing this is too minimal for you, but it is iMac friendly. www.ergoindemand/com/standing_computer_tables_wooden.htm (not sure about this one, but it has potential. They'd all be "order online" I'm guessing, but hopefully that helps.
