I know this team has holes and could be considered flawed, but I think that making a trade might be a big mistake.

The chemistry of these guys is outstanding, even a malcontent like Bonzi is getting into the team play first mentality.

I would rather sit tight and see how this team shows itself in the playoffs.

The only trade I would consider would be one for the Trade exception or Bob Sura's contract.

I would not trade any team member......I just think this team is onto something, and it is not time to rock the boat.

Likewise. I'm glad this is CD's last year, and not Daryl's first. Its nice to know that CD won't do anyhting foolish. I have to believe that Sura's contract is really the only thing they are prepared to shop right know. (Other than Juwan, who is prbably always available) Who would have thought we would have played so well without the big fella this year? I'm lovin it...

I went with the second option. I think Snyder is the least expendable of those considering his contract and what he's capable of contributing, but all of those guys are expendable and I don't think losing any of them would hurt our chemistry. We need another point guard and another big. If we have to part with any of those guys to make that happen, so be it.

I don't think we need another big with Yao coming back in a month......

I'm with you, DD- don't mess with chemistry. Use the TE and/or Sura and bring in another low-key role player (preferably a big man) at the most.

This is the best team that was assembled by CD after the dream era. don't mess up the chemistry.

Sura, TE and maybe Bonzi ... sorry, Bonzi made it clear that he wants a long fat contract by next season, which Rox can not offer ... if we can find a good deal for bonzi, like a decent PG or FW-Center, why not? we have Snyder backup at swingman position. But only for a really good deal.

The fact that Yao isn't coming back for another month is exactly why we need another big. I'm terrified we're going to wear Deke out. Besides that, we need a different kind of big. We need a long, quick, athletic big that can play both center and power forward depending on match ups. We're lacking that right now.

I think this team needs a 6'10+ athletic guy who can flip betweem the 4 and 5. All he would have to do is play defense, rebound, block shots and bring some energy.

We are lacking a lot right now, but I think the intangibles are making up for it.

This team needs a legit 3rd scorer...

I'm gonna repost something I've said time and time again...

All Elite teams have a 3rd and sometimes even a legit 4th scoring option..

    Phx,Dallas,Spurs,Detroit,Miami ....

EVerybody except T-mac,Yao,Battier are tradeable...Ok my Dream trade would be this....

Juwan,Bonzi,Sura,Rafer for Jason Kidd....And yes this trade works but will NJ do it? Will NJ tank the season?

If you hadn't included Bonzi in the second option, I would have voted for it. Instead I chose the 3rd option

    I'd give up Padgett.

All that being said with our TE its teams trying to get under the luxury tax, I'd take Chucky Aitkins with the TE to play backup PG.

Detroit might be looking to move a big now that Webber has arrived. looking at the game logs, it seems Nazr Mohammed would be the name they would want to trade the most, since he has lost the most minutes and has the worst contract.

A deal of Sura and Padgett for Mohammed works under the rules. I know we dont necesarily need another center, but mohammed is kinda versatile and Mutombo wont last forever, Mohammed is under contract for a few more years and could be Yao's backup for years to come.

Wishful thinking but if we swang both these deals we would shore up some of our weakest points and add a replacement for Mutombo for his eventual retirement/ decline? if that ever happens. If not Mohammed could probably be traded because everyone needs a big and he plays very smart and effiencently.

i think getting one of these two guys would be a real steal for us, both could help us add a more potent bench.

Sorry guys but i think its very doubtful we get a starter at the deadline or make an trade with active players. V-Span could be traded but i think he is the only one.

But Bonzi is a bit player......and the Rockets record is better with Snyder playing those minutes than Bonzi.

I just don't get the Bonzi infatuation...he has been a decent role player his whole career....but he is out of shape and turnover prone and on a downward spiral......there is a reason no one signed him to a large contract.

I would rather go to war with Snyder....

Ok the trade works, but if the nets are going to tank they arn't gonna take long term deals of Juwan and Rafer when they can easily get all that cap relief and probably a draft pick from another team. I think the lakers have a better shot at landing kidd.

tough call. If making a trade negates the ability to sign a free agent with the mle this summer, I stand pat.

However, if we can bring in a player and still maintain good salary cap positioning, I'd like a backup point guard.

I don't want to see Luther, Snyder or Chuck leaving. Heck, even Wells is expendable. We'd have to see what we get.
