Notice how Rosas keeps mentioning Chuck Hayes as a guy who the Rockets feel will help out defensively with Andersen on the floor. I'm glad the Rockets basketball people understand and appreciate what Chuck does for his teammates on the defensive end.

I think you misunderstood... He was talking in terms of different matchups at the center spot with Chuck playing the 5 instead of Anderson not with Anderson. Right now Chuck is 3rd on the PF rotation.

 

Hope the Rox trade for or sign another blocking Center in order to help Andersen..Hayes can pair w/ him but we need an athletic one..

 

We still need a few different things to fill holes, but take a breath for a second and be happy we have taken a step in the right direction and we aren't sitting here talking about why the hell we just picked up Samuel Dalembert.

 

Hopefully Dorsey becomes that. He has alot to learn but already he is more athletic and physical than half of the starting centers in the league. If he can learn how to anticipate like chuck and Scola and position for charges and slap away balls like them he will become a defensive monster. That's alot to hope for but even 80% of that will make him a force.

Anderson is a perfect fit IMO. He is what we hoped Leunen could bring a big with Range. Only he is a bigger with a little more toughness and size. And he already has a decent game.

High on Andersen. Excels in the high post and thrives in pick and roll. Has range out to euro three and should translate well to the NBA. Has played, at the very least, the highest level of basketball in a competitive euro league for several years and should be able to contribute right away. Likens transition to Luis Scola. Says frame and balance like Pau Gasol but game more like Andrea Bargnani. A bit disconcerting that our director of personnel couldn't remember the name of "that kid in Toronto".

Talks about summer league and how impressed he was with Chase Budinger. Jermaine Taylor performing as expected. James White has his ups and downs but consistent on defense and that's what they were looking for.

 

Andersen's been the starting C for CSKA and Barcelona. Those two teams are Euro powerhouses that are bigger and more succesful than Luis's former team Tau. He also has 3 Euroleague championships.
